"I'm very concerned that some people seem to have been unfairly removed from the ability to vote in this election... We want a fair and open election."

I have written to the Labour Party's General Secretary to raise concerns about members, including Ronnie Draper, being suspended from voting in the Labour leadership contest often without knowing why, being given an option to challenge or appeal.

Hello! I am a boring, softly-spoken middle-aged Mum of two and I have been suspended from Labour! I have never sworn or been abusive and only emailed to say that I thought the election was undemocratic as we had all voted for Mr Corbyn already and that he needed solidarity in order to make a difference at this particularly worrying time. I added that I was voting for Mr Corbyn and would leave were he to no longer be leader. I was banned for that and I want to know how many others there are like me out there? We need to get together.

You'd think there must be some remnants of democracy left to stop this happening. Surely it can't be legal to stop people from voting? It would be interesting to know exactly what the law says. They surely can't just go making up the rules to suit themselves?
