Is it easier to set a schedule from the charger to the car or from the car's infotainment system to the charger?

I've driven an EV for 10 years, always charged majority at home always off a three pin plug. If you have a car port or garage I don't see why you can't charge off a three pin plug. Especially if you rent the property. Having said that a proper tethered charger is nice to have. One thing I would say is don't become obsessed with power. Spending thousands upgrading your house won't mean you drive further. You should be able to add 80-100 miles every night through a 3 pin plug. With most of us driving less than 50 miles a day low powered charging should be fine. You can also have a charging station s power limited if you don't have the capacity in your house switch board but still want the neatness of a charging station.

Great video btw, if you can charge at home in the UK an EV is a no brainer. Easier, cleaner and more convenient that an old petrol car.

You keep making statements without being factually correct. Most people do not have drives or off road access. Now or in the future. So maybe in some areas most charge at home. Or really at work, at supermarkets, while on the road etc etc. Please stop repeating the Media and government spin cycle.
