WoWP is a lot less grindy compared to War Thunder, WT will have you grind 3000 hours to fly a modern jet, but WoWP tech tree system isn’t that grindy at all. I forgot because I gave up on seriously grinding WT a long time ago

if world of warplanes was inside the world of tanks game itself like how war thunder has air, ground, and sea all in the same game, it would be several magnitudes more successful.

i like world of warplanes more because of its faster pace combat. the game is over all very forgiving too, but the enemy ai is surprisingly competent, they play like the average 45% winrate player, so they *can* kill you if youre doing something stupid. the graphics are outdated, becasue why would they develop an unsuccessful game that noone plays? thats also why you mostly fight bots with an occasional player in an overpowered premium. and unlike in war thunder, i dont want to punch a crater sized hole into my monitor whenever i meet the tiniest of inconveniences

over all its a fast pace and chill game, but has a lot of flaws resulting from a lack of a large playerbase

I prefer WoWP. I dislike video games that simulate reality too much, and WT is one of them. Those "realistic" gameplay mechanics got annoying really fast.
Also the limit of aircraft era means that WoWP doesn't have guided munitions, radar, counter measures. Just aim and shoot and avoid getting hit. I say it places more emphasis on me learning to play than how god the vehicles are.
The game also has more weird aircrafts, which I like, such as a good number of "blue print-only" jets that didn't even had a prototype built 😂 (no idea how they perform, but at least they look cool)
I uninstalled WT after 3 weeks, and I have been playing WoWP every day for more than two months after installing it.

IMO, I just find WoWP way more fun and way less annoying.

WOWP is as close to a sim that a arcade game can get and WT gets as close to a arcade game as a sim can get...WT is for rich kids with plenty of disposable income, , WOWP is still fun without money to throw at it. They are both very different games. WT feels like a job and is not fun to me. just my humble opinion.

WoWP has a big issue - aura damage system (like passive ability in some RPG) - flying in damage zone will drain your HP (sooner or later). And all those turrets and rear gunners on bombers are aura damage - you can't evade defensive fire. Add here lots of bombers + rather small maps and it will become painfull.

Damn this is a pretty bad comparison between the two games. It doesn't really go into details and it seems like you don't even have the experience on both games to compare them. I can't really go into details of WoWP but I know you left out a lot from War Thunder. Like different gamemodes, low, mid and high tiers, the different nations, the modifications, the different weapon systems and the fact that you can bring them into ground battles. And so on. But I'm sure there are a lot of factors about WoWP that I don't know about.

Tell me you are a Gajin employee without telling me you are a Gajin employee... Both games are good, WoWP has better arcade gameplay and better top tier matches but WT has better overrall gameplay and several magnitudes more dev involvment. It is worth noting that the physics in WT are pretty bad, planes feel more like saucers then planes, and some low tier planes can survive damage the IRL ones would be destroyed by. WoWP 7/10 overrall, WT 8/10 at low tiers and 4/10 at high tier.
