After just one month of eating almost carnivore I decided to “treat” myself with some cheap peanut butter on saltine crackers. It tasted disgusting. My palate has changed so much in just one month, all I could taste were chemicals. A comfort food I used to love, that I’ve been eating since I was a child, is now gross to me. That really drives home how big a change I have made in my life.

My sister sent me some “avocado” oil that didn’t pass the sniff test. Sure enough, 75% canola. Seems to work okay on my garage doors, though.

NOTES :

1. Fried food is not necessarily unhealthy, it depends on what kind of oil you're using and what food you're frying.

2. Use oil which low in OMEGA 6 FATTY ACIDS.

3. Avoid CANNOLA, SOY, CORN, SUNFLOWER, SAFFLOWER, VEGETABLE oil.

4. Use natural oils like LARD, BEEF TALLOW, COCONUT OIL, AVACADO OIL.

5. Even OLIVE oil oxidizes at high temperature so avoid it too.

6. FOODS to be avoided frying : POTATOES, HIGH CARBS food. It increases blood sugar levels and insulin.

7. Always fry LOW CARBS food like EGGS, MEAT, AVACADO

8. Avoid food with INJECTABLES and HIGH CARBS BREADING.

Fry using oil like lard, bacon grease, tallow, avocado oil, coconut oil. Meat, eggs, avocados are healthy and can be fried. No pre-breaded meat or meat injected with chemicals.

As you list the viable "oils" to fry in, you do not mention ghee, clarified butter. It has a very high smoke point and ads a nice flavor.

One of my favorite meals is bone in, skin on Chicken Thighs fried in Bacon Fat then seasoned with salt & pepper as soon as it comes out of the fat :)

Fried food is the king of all foods. Fried food take you places no other food can. Fried food makes love to every cell, organ, and system in my body. I can remember my mother frying chicken in that iron skillet filled with grease as a child. Nobody can fry chicken like my mother. Fried chicken, fish, steak, pork chop, and liver is what I was raised on. My Lord blessed me with a mother that is a awesome southern cook. Fried food belongs to the African American community. It's what we know, its what we do. Fried food is our culture. To give it up is never an option, its a part of me. I am willing to cut back and I have. When my mom get that iron skillet out, I know what time it is. To turn it down is unimaginable.

I have a bachelor's in human biology. I took nutrition classes that convinced me to stay with the macro nutrient distribution range to lose weight. It never worked! This diet does!!! I feel good. The doc speaks to my soul.

Ugh, there are so many bad habits I need to stop!!! But this helps to know, i thought anything fried was bad for you. I'm gonna pick up some better oil next time I'm out! Thank U.

Thank you! Yes, we have to read the ingredients on everything! Even a package of what looks like just meat. In the grocery last week both chicken and pork that looked like just meat actually stated on the package that they had 20% 'solution' in them! I am so frustrated that for 76 years I was lied to about which oils and foods were good for me and that wholesome meat and saturated fat was bad for me! And that so many people including my own family still believe the false things we were taught. I got an airfryer about a week ago and now I don't need any cooking oils at all. Yum.

Ground up pork rinds make a great coating to replace breading. Look up ‘keto fried chicken’.

I ve been using avocado oil for frying for 2 years .just a little bit and I use coconut oil or butter for eggs .extra virgin olive oil for dressing salad ...., and sometimes I use it for oven potatoes.
Ghee is good for cooking .for oven roasting 🍗

When frying in lard, keep in mind that it's a low temperature fat. It should not be heated beyond 360°F/185°C.

I was told by the doctor that I consume too much fried food . So now I’m watching this to stop myself
