TOTAL HIP REPLACEMENT DUE TO THE COMORBIDITY.

A 42-year-old patient with a 3-week-old intra-articular fracture of the neck of the left femur (Garden classification III, Pauwels type 3) presents with a history of rheumatoid arthritis and is currently on DMARD therapy.

Given the complexity of the fracture, its delayed presentation, and the patient’s underlying comorbidity, the decision was made to proceed with total hip replacement (THR).

This approach not only addresses the fracture but also optimizes long-term joint function, minimizes the risk of complications associated with fracture healing, and improves the patient's overall quality of life.
