How To Fish Like A Pro Very Easy | Red Dead Redemption 2 Fishing Guide

In this video I show you how to fish like a pro in rdr2. First go to the general store and buy fishing lures and worms. We need fish bait if you want to catch the big fish. Next you can pick any river pond or lake. This is my fishing guide and I promise to build on this type of fishing videos.

Guys I just found out how to make fishing easier, if you go to settings then control and choose the last setting in Accessibility (hold to reel) and turn this on so you can use the X button to reel instead of the stick.

How to catch a fish.

Step 1. Don't throw your line out too far.
Step 2. Catch the fish.
Step 3. Things about camping.

As you're reeling the fish in, pull back on the left analogue stick and then let go. Do this over and over as you reel in the fish and you will catch it super fast. Pretty much all there is to it. Don't do anything when the fish is fighting. Works on every fish including legendary.

Another tip to make fishing in rdr2 easier, when u have the fish hooked, control in by pulling back then forward. It will tire it out quicker and u will pull the fish in faster.

Thanks for the tips! The advice to only cast halfway made a huge difference when I was catching Legendary Fish!! When I played the fishing in RDR2 I went to a puddle and threw my line in to that and fish started flopping onto land without any damage.

never managed to catch a fish in this game after the intro missions. i can't break my fingers for a stupid game, i followed your guide, but no matter how i hold the fish from going away when it's fighting, or how fast i spin the right stick, damn fish never gets any closer to me. just went on without fishing at all.

i know this video is 5 years old but i have a tip for anyone isn’t too good at fishing when you get a fish on your hook wait till it stops struggling the first time then push L3 up and down but keep reeling the whole time.
