Video is completely wrong. As a Hindu I must say beginning itself is wrong. With good knowledge of history the Aryan invasion theory is a British creation to divide India and rule it.
Here are the facts.
1. Aryan invasion never took place in the recorded history
2. British divided India into Aryans and Dravidians.
3. Dravida was first used by Adi Shankaracharya when debating with bhuddist monks.
4. Dravida is used to introduce himself from a place where 3 sides are water. That is south India.
5. Adi Shankaracharya is called as dravida sishu. Which means Dravidian (south's) child.
6. Dravida is not a race it's the Sanskrit word for South India.
6.

ॐ Core Philosophy of Hinduism (the way of life) or better understood as Sanatan Dharma (the eternal).
1. Brahman ~ The Supreme Existence or absolute reality.
2. Dharma ~ that which accomplices the three tasks of keeping the set up of the society in excellent condition, bringing about the worldly progress of every living being, and facilitating their progress in the spiritual realm as well (attaining Moksha/Nirvana).
3. Samsara ~ The Continuous cycle of life, death, and reincarnation (like Big Bang and Big Crunch as the cusp transcending).
4. Karma ~ The Universal Law of Cause and Effect that one's actions and thoughts directly determine their current and future lives similar to Newton's Third Law that every action has an equal and opposite reaction (Action and Acceptance).
5. Purushartha ~ Inherent Values of the Universe (object of the human pursuit) - Artha (Economic Value). Kama (Pleasures). Dharma (righteousness). Moksha (liberation).
6. Atman (the belief in soul) ~ all living creatures have a soul and they all are part of the supreme soul (Brahman).

The Mahavakyas from Upanishads ~ The Great Sayings
1. Tat Tvam Asi (That You Are) ~ the very nature of all existence as permeated by the finest essence.
2. Ahm Brahmasmi ~ I am Brahman (divine)
3. Prajnanam Brahma ~ Brahman is Prajnana (the highest and purest form of wisdom, intelligence, and understanding).
4. Ayam Atma Brahma ~ This Self (Atman) is Brahman (divine).

The Brahman (the cosmic energy that neither can be created nor be destroyed but only transcends through various karmic cycles) is Adi Anadi (ever existing) even in the nothingness and that's why Hindus practice Namaste as a form of greeting knowing and understanding that there is Brahman within the other living being as well.

Some of these things just degenerated over time. We are in the Kali Yuga after all! One of the best examples is the added class of the "untouchables". That was the part that made the class system so horrible and many wise Hindus fought to get rid of it (and they succeeded)! Also, in their scriptures there are stories that can help people see the harm done in feeling superior because of your class. (The class system feels very present in the United States for me although it's not acknowledged, it is going to form everywhere where some want to believe they are superior to others). The story of Karna in the Mahabharata is a great example. Even though he is challenging his brothers to see who is the best archer, he does not know his true heritage (he was adopted) so he is made fun of for even trying to challenge them because he is a "commoner". This leads him to get mixed up with the evil side because Duryodhana is the only one who will offer him support and friendship (because he wants to use Karnas skills for war against Karna's brothers). It's a complicated story . I'm just saying that if you do look deeply, there is always encouragement to follow a sense of righteousness in Hinduism which includes acceptance of all people as equal. They all have Brahma in It's similar for women. Women had their specific role in life but that doesn't mean that they couldn't change that role and there are examples of that in the scriptures. There are many goddesses and female demons too! Hinduism shows many strong women. Arranged marriage may be impossible to consider for some altogether but it's usually shown in scriptures as the woman having some input for sure. It is tradition that potential husbands are met with and she can decide whether or not she wants to marry them.

The last part is very biased, you mentioned the ritual which very few people actually followed and which was later created ( not mentioned in vedas)but you didn't mentioned the fact that we have goddesses like Parvati, laxmi who represents nature and wealth not only that we have Kali or mahakali the story of this goddess shows how women is nature(she is caring, she is beautiful) but at the same time if someone tease her or disrespect her or use her she possess the power of destroying everything, you didn't mentioned that we literally have a festival called navaratri it is a festival of 9 days were we celebrate our goddesses ( women in general), you didn't mention that how we have a god called ardhnareshvar which means half man and half women representing that one is incomplete without the other, man and woman are equal .I am not denying that yes there is bad history but what ever people did was not according tho dharma (religion teaching) if your video is a about religion then you should show the things mentioned in religion not something that people did as they please, people who are Christians or who are from foreign countries already consider ever other religion or believes as anti Christ and this information is miss guiding them

A very wrong interpretation of arranged marriages firstly. Hindus have always given the choice of marrying the man of her choice to their daughter. 'Swayamvars' used to be held wherein the girl picked out a task that was extrmely difficult to do and only the person who could finish it would be fit enough to be her husband. It was feminism. Women were generally the ones who took care of children and taught them good values, cooked healthy food for the family and managed the expenses and savings of the husband's hard earned money. So they never earned. This worked fine until multiple consecutive invasions by barbaric arabs and mongols and then the british reduced the once powerful land of India to dust. Thats when families had to fend for themselves and deal with poverty. That changed a lot of customs. Its obvious...poor life cannot be lived the same as rich and fulfilled life. The same is with the wife committing suicide after husband's death- this only started after the arabs and mongols invaded as they after killing the men of the house would then go on to rape and trade their wives as sex slaves. Any woman would rather die than have her integrity and pride stripped away like that. This raping was further continued by the Britishers as well. Thats why that custom started. And even then we had women who after their husbands were killed, picked up swords to fight for their land and their family and pride. And they died fighting valiantly on the battlefields and did not suicide after the husbands death.
If you want to present the history and meaning of Hinduism, study the real scriptures and customs and then look at the social fabric of each era and the years of damage that india went through. Stop spreading half-knowledge

Good overview, but please make an effort to get the pronunciations of the Samskruta (Sanskrit) words right. If you get it wrong, then it will change the meaning of the word wrong or sometimes it doesn't mean anything. Please don't read them with English phonetics. I know Samskruta is not your first language or any other Indian language for that matter, but when you can make sincere effort to get words from French or any European language correctly pronounced, I think you can extend that to Samskruta as well. If you need help with the pronunciation, please please reach out to me.

Sorry to say that this lady had not done her homework properly. Poor analysis that will mislead to misunderstand about Sanathana Dharma.

She is completely naive. It's is better not to know something then knowing something completely against the system. The content she has created are very less. I mean if she just speak name of scriptures in Sanatana Dharma the the video would have been longer than this. There is nothing in ancient Indian scripture without any proper reason. remember out scripture talk about human, animal, tress all living being not Muslim, Christian etc. Which other religion specifically mentions.

Thanks. This is literally the first step on my journey to understanding Hinduism. Catholicism, Judaism and Islam. Nope, I just can't wholeheartedly agree. Buddhism speaks to me also quite strongly.

Some parts of the Indian society are patriarchal like in Haryana, Punjab and UP.
some parts are matriarchal like the north eastern states.
Southern region of India is blend of both types.

The religion is not patriarchal or matriarchal. You are very biased and wrong.
I think you can’t differentiate between religion and society.

Wow, now I know why people talk about sanatana like that..
Is that what textbook syllabus includes when talking about hindus??

To be honest it is a bad over-all interpretation... I don't blame you... But the religion doesn't allow the atrocities the society has brought up...
