Brahman = Universal Soul. Atman =Individual soul. When one gets Moksha, Atman merges with Brahman.

Thank you for this video. Most Hindus don't know the "technical" or theological aspects of Hinduism, as we aren't an organised religion. A video like this helps Hindus like myself to understand Hinduism better. Also, you have explained Hinduism with a lot of respect, which was nice to see. Usually, on YouTube, when Non Hindus talk about Hinduism they do so with a lot of malice. So thank you! I love your channel.

I just started studying vedic after my awakening and was reviewing my yogas. I have virinchi yoga and I looked it up an it noted teaching of brahman. I didn’t know what that was. I search for this and was guided to your channel. 🙏 The universe is confirming to me my knowing. I didn’t know that this is what I was practicing all my life.

I really enjoy my freedom to question and study religion and world because I am a Hindhu. It never enslave us in a silly book but gives us a lot of wonderful books and sites to study.

Hinduism is so close to nature. I can relate Hinduism concepts like 'reincarnation' or 'individuality is just an illusion' to concepts like nutrient recycling or food chain. If we watch the whole earth for millions of years you will see that all living and non living things are just intermixing with each other on our planet. It's hard to believe how people know about these things at that time.

Hinduism or Sanathana Dharma is beyond the understanding of a person who follows any Abrahamic religion. Because you'll always try to relate with something you have learnt from your Holy books... One needs an open mind or u can say an empty cup to fill up something new other wise you'll end up mocking it or spreading half knowledged information about it like many western ppl do...

Wow...this was fascinating :-)

I was so engrossed in the Atman-Brahman concept I didn't realize the time was up & the video felt too short.

I'm a Christian and love my Hindu friends. I really admire the world's most ancient culture's virtues, like: Love & Non-Violence. Look, the world is now realising the benefits of Veganism and Vegetarianism weather it's for the Planet/Environment, Health or Animal-rights. My best wishes and respect to all the true Vegan Hindus out there.

This is so fascinating. It sounds like the oldest creative analogy described in pursuit of or to collectively explain a very simple truth in both a scientific and metaphysical way. The truth being, we are all made of the universe or are the realization of the universe itself. Literal translation of Brahma/ Brahmand is the Universe and to be a Brahman is to be the ultimate cause or realization of all that exists? Perhaps that's an simplification but its awesome to think about. The Vedas also derived the age of the universe which amazingly corresponds to that of modern scientific cosmology.

"The Hindu religion is the only one of the world's great faiths dedicated to the idea that the Cosmos itself undergoes an immense, indeed an infinite, number of deaths and rebirths. It is the only religion in which time scales correspond to those of modern scientific cosmology. - Carl Sagan."

Glad the narrator went straight to the most fundamental and core concepts of Vedic religion (aka now called as 'Hinduism'). Brahman, Atman, Samsara, Karma, Dharma and Moksha are very core of Hinduism. Some of these concepts are also in Jainism and Buddhism such as Karma, Dhamma (aka Dharma) Nirvana (aka Moksha). An average westerner gets quite confused with these terms and most likely to pick up the terminology from Thailand or Srilanka or Japanese Buddhism and think they all came from Buddhism without knowing Siddhartha Gautama (aka Buddha) and his parents were strongly Hindu themselves until he went out to forest and delved deeper in to the concepts of Hinduism, and then came up with revised & refined versions of the same concepts which 500 years later were put together and branded as a separate 'religion' which we now refer as 'Buddhism'.

Hinduism is an Atheism and a theism at the same time
How?
"Long story short "

Universe (Brahmand) consists of 4 things
1. Param atma (Energy)
2. Param tatva (Matter)
3. Maha kal (Time )
4. Kal (Black space)

(Today modern Science says
Space and Time are not different they are different attribute of 1 thing and Hindus use 1 word "Kal")
1. Param Atma
2. Param tatva
Both are Param (Supreme)
Hence equal
Atma = Tatva
Energy = Matter
E = M
Both can not be created nor destroyed only translated ( or incarnated) into another form (or body )

Both are Trinity
Energy has trinity aspect
1. Creation +ve
2. Preservaton =
3. Destruction -ve

Matter has trinity aspect
1. Proton +ve
2. Neutron =
3. Electron -ve

Hindus personified it as
Brahma +ve
Vishnu =
Shiva -ve

Since Energy and matter are two
2 types of worship
1. Meditation (Yog-atma se param atma)
2. Idol worshipping

Why idol worshipping?
Hindus do the same rituals on the purchase of car bike house TV AC etc which we do before idols
Bcoz
A car can be moulded into an Idol of Natraja
But no change in the composition of the proton neutron electron

Proton and neutron are always connected form Nucleous
Brahma and Vishnu are also always connected through navel cord (Nabhi)
Nucleous Hindi name is also "Nabhi"

Vishnu the personification of preservative aspect of the Universe energy
Or
Simply
Vishnu the preserver
1st avatar of Vishnu was Fish 🐠
2nd Avatar of Vishnu was Turtle 🐢
Now in last 150 years
Science says the same how life evolved and preservered on Earth

So
Param atma + Param tatva + Maha kal + Kal = Universe (Brahm or Brahmand)

The highest manifestion of Brahm is Para Brahm
Multi Universe
