That's why you didn't have issues with the Titan 7's....Because their Hub Size is specific to the FK8

I’ve come to realization that things in life happen to learn and make us wiser. Not knowing and making mistakes is what gives us knowledge!

Swap both your rear tyres with your front tyres bro. If the vibration switch location to your steering, it means you have bad tires. This is the only way to proof that you have defective new tyres. It happened to me before but the fkin dealership still refuse to change the defective tyre. In the end I bought a new Tyre and problem solved.

I have learned when new to wheel set ups. It took me legit one year of researching and hearing things to finally get it all.

I highly doubt the TE37s are the issue. Volks of Japan have a very high level of quality control testing the balance of each wheel. They are used for motorsports race teams world wide.

0:38 The page you show from Tire Rack says that you need to torque the lug nuts while the vehicle/wheel is off the ground so it can stay centered. In the video it shows one wheel being torqued while on the jack and another wheel is torqued while on the ground. I hope you get it figured out Cam.

Since you went with the aluminum hub rings; you want to make sure you take them off before you drive too much and add a healthy amount of anti-seize. Trust me, I made that mistake my first go and had the hardest time to get the hub rings back off.

Cam I know what rays may say but type r torque specs are 94ft lb. Nice video man. Glad to see you doing well! I see you’re coming to tail of the dragon in October. I live a few miles away from it. I’d love to meet up sometime! I have an FL5 so would love to meet up!

When I bought my TE’s from Vivid the rings were a part of what I needed for the wheels with centre caps and lugs. Also I’ve used Michelin’s many times on many cars never had an issue. My Type R has PS4S’s and they were mint when Honda dealership put them on with no issues since. I did have one issue with an old cup tire once but Michelin replaced it right away through warranty. But again all wheel work has always been done at the dealership. They even put a new guide on the tire machine before putting the new tires on the new TE’s.

Nearly all aftermarket wheels will need hub rings. I bought some Wedssport wheels and they offered really cool hub ring/logo wheel inserts. Nicely made. Won't corrode. Typically tire rack automatically includes plastic hub centering rings. You do have lug nuts that are made for your wheels., right?

The fk8 won't tell you the tire pressure because honda is using an indirect tpms system that dosnt use sensors, but the abs sensor on each hub measures how long it takes to make one revolution, and if its much different then the other ones, then it knows there is a pressure issue, that goes for overinflation also, thought you might want to know. Awesome vids man, i know its frustrating but i know you will eventually figure it out. Good luck

Yep some of the places here in Australia come with the right size adaptors / rings - but most don't really mention it. Make sure your BRZ has the right ones also.

Hey cam ! Thanks for shining light on this subject, I would have never known about this issue. I always learn something new! Will definitely need to do some research before getting TEs. Im currently having an issue with my FK8 where there is this loud squeaking/vibrating/rattling noise coming from the back. It’s fine on the streets until i hit the freeway and in 5th or 6th gear. This happened out of nowhere while going home on the freeway. Haven’t had time to take it to a shop but hopefully i can take it in soon.

Common knowledge, always get hub adapters when wheels if they don't already match the car hub.

Make sure to grease/ lub the rings. If those corrode on to either the hub or especially the wheels they will be extremely hard to get off

I didn't know about different hub sizes, thank you, by the way where did you get your seats cover?

my type r used to kill rear tires. it would feather them. Rub your hand over the inside tread in both directions. youll feel it have waves.

In the same position with my wife looking for a car! You guys have to drive the Mazda cx50 turbo! Excellent size, great power on premium gas, luxury feel without the luxury price. My wife loves hers, constant smile on her face every time she’s driving

Oof. Idk what else it could be. Maybe it’s definitely a defect in the tire. Hopefully it works out! I have the same tires and size on my Type R and don’t have that issue
