Game of Thrones is an original HBO series based on George R.R. Martin's best-selling novels. Betrayal, lust, intrigue and supernatural forces shake the four corners of the Kingdom, from the scheming south and the savage eastern lands, to the frozen north and the ancient Wall that protects the realm from the darkness beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars and noble men vie for power in the bloody struggle for the Iron Throne.

That girl could act with her eyebrows alone! I swear she could have a scene with no words and convey the emotion just through eyebrow wiggles. She has the most expressive eyebrows I've ever seen.

So far white walkers are used in the introduction of every seasons and they are appetizers for the last episode of every seasons too just to remind you that the next season is not to be missed :) It's a TV trick, the last episode is built like a huge trailer for the next season showing you every main characters. The main event of the season is always happening in episode 9 so far.Meanwhile we must be patient and survive all that wedding frenzy which is sadly becoming the main theme for season 3.

Well, she's survived King's Landing so far, which is more than her dad managed. She's endured a lot by this point: she watched her father die, she was abused by her fiancée, and she's being held captive far away from home.

glimpses of the sort of leadership and command that she is supposed to have. Tywin, Missandei, Stannis and Ned all do have the ability to inspire people in their own way. Stannis has proven to be the most shrewd of the contenders- assassination of Renly, usage (in a very loose sense) of Missandei and Davos and the relocation to the North. Just because he is not lovable doesn't mean that he doesn't deserve the throne. Tywin is an absolute beast at playing the game of thrones but is hugely (Con)

the martels are really cool characters that get introduced in the later books, they come from this hot sandy place in the south of westeros called dorne. the only reference to them in the series so far is when joffrey's little sister margery was sent off on a boat to dorne because tyrion plans to marry her off to the martels, and that's when cersie gets really pissed with tyrion :)

She ordered them to do so, in order to make them apologise for what they had done, they did not just do that.
The city was Meereen and it's siege was the perfect example of how clever she is, even the plan you describe was organised by her.

If i remember well, the Lannister army still is between 50.000 and 60.000 mens, Stannis still has an army, Starks still have remnants of an army, there must be armies in Dorne and in several other places too . The Unsullied might be great warriors, they're already outnumbered by the Lannisters alone by far . The only problem is that there is no one the lead them into battle, nor the Starks .

Meaning that before the Targaryens there were other kings, like king Torrhen Stark in the North, king Ronnel Arryn in the Vale, king Loren Lannister in the Westerlands. When Aegon overtook all of those, he ruled, and the Targaryen dynasty ruled after him, thus he and the Targaryens were not the first kings of Westeros, there were others before them

Theres also the fact that when she was young, a witch foretold that:
she would have three fair haired children whilst her husband would have 16 (he cheats on her);
she would outlive all her children;
her "Valonqar" (a Valyrian word loosely translated to "little brother", perhaps Tyrion) would strangle her to death.
She also wanted to marry Rhaegar but got drunken Robert (who only loves dead Lyanna Stark).
Her "madness", or perhaps more accurately, desperation, likely set in at an early age.

Saga is a word of Icelandic origin that came into use during the Middle-Age period. This word is all about epic tales mixed with legends. It's about voyages, wars and tribulations of past heroes (mostly kings of course). Just look at the Starks, their story is the perfect Saga, They even burn their dead royalty in a boat like real Vikings did in the past!
The word is often used in french (it means épopée) but I'm not sure in the english world. (I'm french Canadian by the way :)

The Red Viper is just another name for Oberyn Martell. He has an important role in the second half of the third book, which will correspond to the fourth season. I was responding to someone who said he might get written out of the show, even though he is a fan favorite and becomes highly important to the plot.

Knowing about Grey Worm, you can't say they are not human anymore, even the series showed them like they had realised they were free. Furthermore, by conquering the cities she may have lost a lot of men, but in general, the amount of released slaves and punished masters was big. Everyone was talking about the Breaker of Chains. She is undoubtedly the best person in the series, but somehow you seem to forget she has done the best than any other and all her enemies are slave masters and bad guys.

Actually, this is the horrific torture. All of Theon's scenes that we are seeing are events that he recalls during ADwD, events that turned him into the Reek we meet in his first chapter. He doesn't get flayed once in any of his PoVs in ADwD but is surely suffering the after-effects.

Technically the last King being Robert ( since Joffrey was illegitimate King ), no matter how he reached the Throne . It thus means that his elder brother comes first in order of succession, Stannis is King, by right . Robert might've been called the Usurper, people were still glad to see The Mad King off the Throne ...

I've read the books and i respect that the TV only peeps, want the show kept minimally spoilt or not at all. It's a shame, they should just disable comments...

I'm with Gabe; the extent of the torture that Theon goes through in the books is beyond anything he's ever dealt to anyone, including death. You've got to read the series so far to understand.
