Season 3 would probably end a lil bit after the red wedding in the south, the Astapor revolution in the east and the first raid to the wall by the wildlings (the one were certain character dies). Season 4 will begin covering the events of Joff's wedding, will develop into the trial, and culminate with the escape in the south, will cover the Yunkai and Meereen wars in the east, and the war against Mance Rayder and reinforcements arrival in the north. IMO they won't need much from Feast or Dance.

To clarify, the 'one-off' was the dragon-egg experience. All of it, from getting the dragons to hatching the dragons. Here's a quote from an interview with GRRM himself:

I think the Red Wedding will be fine. Shocking for sure, but fine. My bigger concern is that from reading the books, there are more than a few plot directions that could easily cause the series to "jump the shark". I hope that they make the right decisions so that the show continues to work on the small screen.

The show so far, for the most part has been true to the books. GoT is the best show on TV..period. It has everything, violence, sex, deceit, betrayal...It is less about battles and more about "playing the game" with the abundance of characters, it def keeps you on your toes....If Season 3 is anything like book 3, then this will be the best season yet!

Season 3 will be the best yet, but season 4 though... my body isn't ready. That season may be the best season of the entire series by the time it's all said and done.

The lands beyond the Wall shown in the very first episode of season 1 had trees. The area beyond Castrer's fortress has many trees, some of them with leaves. George Martin has described forests beyond the Wall in the books.
