This is the video about easy sewing of cotton summer dress 👗
For one dress I used 4 squares with side 117 - my bust is 84 cm.
I think for
Bust 85-95 сm 4 squares needed with side 120 х120 сm
Bust 95 -110 4 squares needed with side 130 х130 сm
Bust 110 х 120 4 squares needed with side 140 х140 сm

How ingenious to show a miniature model like that. Makes it all very clear. Your sizing is great help too. Thank you 💕

Amazing, no zips, buttons, ties, gathering, elastic! Fantastic design, I would leave the hankerchief hem if I was tall enough, it's pretty too.
The best part is it's self lined, with no difficulty, thanks! 😊 💜

I have made 2 of these, a shorter white muslin and a long blue paisley and they are my favourite summer dresses. Thank You so much for your time and your skill.

Ironing on your scissors is the most brilliant thing I have ever seen.

ok sorry no. I rarely say anything negative but what she made, what is in thumbnail and on the tiny bear is not the same at all?? This is really unfair to beginners besides a waste of fabric. Not necessary to sew like 4 tents or cones unless you have really see through fabric then cut the points off? Just go find a 4 piece pattern similar to this dress. If you have a top/blouse that fits you can trace that and extend or widen the skirt part. If you really wanted it lined just cut the 4 sections double. You could sew french seam style to hide the seams. Hem as you like. I REALLY dont see any advantage making cones then cutting off point? If you did need more coverage and wanted double lets say for gauze material you could even make 2 dresses and wear different colors like slips. Me...sewing 60 plus years.

Such an easy dress to make that can be versatile. It can be made to look as casual or as elegant as you want it to be, depending on which fabric and embellishments you use. TYSM for sharing this video with us. Looks gorgeous - even with being modeled by your cute little bear !!! 😊. Love your channel and i hope you're still making videos for us as i find them very informative. 😉

The sharp V neckline is such a great contrast with the flowy dress. I’m definitely going to try this, in a patterned print, maybe linen or rayon challis. ❤

I had just looked at a video for the same dress but each quadrant was cut out alone. I love your version and I am so glad you made a bear sized dress. It went quickly and made perfect sense. Thank you

I was wondering why a bias drape dress also had so much body. It's self lined! Nice😎

I wish you had explained how to do the pockets. I'd like to make this for my granddaughter.

I love it! Making it on that small scale lets us see the entire dress in every frame. Thank you.

This is very clever and so easy! This would be wonderful in a summer weight linen or another drapey type fabric - rayon maybe? I would also consider leaving the "points" at the hem for different look. Also a great palette for machine embroidery embellishment. This has so many possibilites

Absolute genius.
So clever. THANK YOU. It can be made for a barbie doll to a large lady and in any fabric. ❤👍

Great look. Reminds me of clothing from the beautiful 70's.

Hello Lena, Thank you for this very detailed demonstration! It reminded me of when my grandmother would create & sew beautifully small dresses that were sewn of glittery & shimmering fabrics - for my Barbie dollars & other dolls.
You are very creative to have use this size dress for this tutorial! It really makes it easy to understand & visualize!! Thank you!!

You deserve a Barbie doll as your top model.

I really love the clever design. At first I didn't understand where it was going with the double layer, I thought you were going to cut it again on a different spot. But I really like it that the dress is self lined, it gives it more substance when using thin fabric.
Also, this pattern gives so much easy possibilities to indivdualise. As you mention, you could add pockets, or sundress it by connecting the front and back panels with string. You can add a sash to tie round the waist, if you want it less loose.
I think I will add crochet sleeves and perhaps crochet at the hem. Could even crochet the hem of the inside layer and hem the outside normal, thus creating the illusion of a underdress (with or without ruffles). And match the neckline.
You have inspired me greatly with this pattern and the tutorial.
Thank you so much.
