Am thinking of making a fire alarm detecting system using a pin diode but my fear is that a pin diode is sensitive to visible light and infrared light, can someone please clarify on how I can make my system effective without the photodiode sensing light from bulbs, torches, LEDs, BUT only be sensitive to 🔥 fire 🔥.

thank you for this interesting circuit but your diagram does not reflect the content your video, in the diagram there are 1 phodiode IR-LED and 1 IR-PD and 1 LED, in the video 3 diodes photodiodes (Black ones) and 2 other LED on the right, could you explain more, with many thanks. Do you mean IR-LED is a simple RED LED!!

You can't use 1k resistor in the circuit diagram
