Why edge has round edges on tabs ? I liked the sharp edges of "edge"

here's somethings missing that I hope will make it to future builds:
1. THE SHELF UI !!!!
2. set tabs aside.
3. ask cortana.
4. BLACK DARK MODE like the current Edge
5. Acrylic & Reveal effects, especially in the title bar.
6. Inking. I don't own a pc with a touch screen so I don't use inking that much but when I do I find it extremely useful to highlight stuff before sharing...

There won't be a reason to download Chrome now since Edge comes with Windows and is literally Chrome under the hood.

I hope they will implement fluent design to the tab bar on the top of Edge. In old Edge, it looked really good, the Chromium based version just looks like Chrome. :(

Looking forward to this. Also hope Microsoft can reduce chrome's memory footprint and make it more battery efficient like original edge. Chrome really sucks in these areas especially on laptop

I quite liked the old Edge design though. And the only page that was sluggish was YouTube... Others loaded just as fast as chrome

If microsoft can keep all the functionalities and UI from OG Edge and just run it on Chromium, I'll be happy. Right now, eh.

Opera gone Chromium.
Edge gone Chromium.
This reminds me of what Google is doing with Android. All manufacturers just use their core software and apply a skin and their own features.

I hope Edge will still have the reading mode and the ability to set tabs aside for later cuz chrome alternative are bad. that's the only 2 reasons I use edge sometimes

So there is no alternative for chromium. Very sad. The Only thing I don't like about the current Edge is that YouTube works very slowly.
