The improvisation is amazing, that stick hit mistake at 9:08 that he then incorporated into the flow was amazing and definitely in the moment…you can see him staring at the stick and then he’s got an idea and he’s off and running

I first heard Caravan in Whiplash and I thought it would be impossible to actually play. When I saw this video is was floored that someone could actually play it without the power of movie editing.

Greyson definitely embodies the old greats of jazz drummers. He has done a few collaboration recently with artists outside the jazz world. Currently he is or was the drummer for Suicidal Tendencies during their latest tour.

Some drummers are amazing because of how crisp they can sound (ii from Sleep Token comes to mind). This guy is amazing because of how smooth he sounds.
