What Makes the Cadillac CTS-V So Freaking GREAT?

For this in depth video, we talk about one of the biggest sleeper success stories of the automotive industry - the Cadillac CTS-V. This is a car that on paper when it came out seemed incredible but for the masses seemed unnecessary. With the Pontiac G8 and the Chevy SS not succeeding in similar fashion - the CTS-V was the last GM sleeper standing and for good reason. This CTS-V with Weld Racing wheels is one of the most stable fast cars I've ever driven while I was sitting in heated seats! Thanks for watching!

Im a huge fan of the V. Ive got a 2012 V wagon and even years later it still puts a smile on my face. Mine is a bolt on on car also and agree with you on how easy it is to drive even when your on it.

Not only do I praise GM for making this car in general but I love them for offering it in a wagon (and a manual)! Being a wagon guy a Vagon had been my dream daily driver since they were first released in 2011. I was lucky enough to finally be able to pick one up last year and it's everything you said it is in your video and then some! Nothing like smoking 99% of the cars on the road in a pearl white 5 door Caddy. :)

As long as you don't turn the car off when you give it back to him, the car can go any distance without the fob as long as you don't turn it off and try to restrart it. Pretty much all of these cars with fobs work like that.

I have a 2012 Cts v coupe a Corsa axle back exhaust and no other mods. I did 12s at Englishtown right before they close on street tires. Then I took up to whiskey hill racetrack. I had to have a pro join me to teach me all the turns and hill. This Pro drove a lap, on the stock Michelins, he was quite impressed. He commented how well it did coming out of the hairpin and going up the hill. That's where LSA had the biggest advantage over the turbo six of the BMW M3s. And I was up their butts on the straightaway at over 120mph. The Brembos never faded and could put you through the windshield. And even at 4200 lbs. I was very confident attacking all the turns. Magnetic shocks and stock pilot sport tires stuck like glue. The pro was very impressed. And I'm a novice. Bmw's, Camaros, mustangs, vettes, Nissan it's all got gapped by this old man in the Cadillac. 😎🇺🇸

I love my 2014 CTS-V coupe... A werewolf in a tuxedo. Been to 165 MPH in it and it was still pulling hard when I gave up. Just ordered my Corsa Sports for it and will be getting the Diablo Trinity 2 for it next.

I've driven one of these stock and it was soooo good. I can't imagine how it would have felt modified. I had never driven anything faster than our families Suburban and for Cadillac with 2 or 3 times the power it was so well controlled, and getting on it on the freeway I fell in love.

You should do a review of a ATS V coupe if you haven't already.

I work at a body shop and I once shuttled a customer with a very similar setup to this, with the wider wheels and tires in the back. He told me it was making 600hp and had no doubt about it. The CTS-V is quite a sleeper!

I have a 2013 Coupe w/ the manual gearbox. It has few mods because it runs so good stock. The Stock exhaust is restrictive. I like GM's sleepers, I also own a '17 SS & an '05 GTO w/ manual gearboxes, they fly way under the radar.

I have a 2013 CTS-V. It is great!!! It is perfectly balanced. The worst thing you can do is let off in a corner. Use the gas pedal cautiously and ease into it.
