🎤 Discovering new voices is always a thrill, and today, I stumbled upon Charlie Zhou Shen —a truly unique talent. His rendition of 'Memory' took an unexpected twist, starting with a different song before transitioning seamlessly.
What struck me most was his timbre; so distinct it made me pause. 🤯 It’s a beautiful reminder that not all singers need to fit the typical 'Disney Princess' mold to captivate an audience.
The way Charlie bends the pitch and decrescendos simultaneously is exactly what I emphasize about phrasing to my students.
