I wonder if the disparaging symptoms are the root of depression and anxiety in PCOS. How can one be happy when your body is constantly working against you? Scalp hair loss, hirsutism, excessive weight gain (while eating healthy) cystic acne, infertility, skin discoloration from insulin resistance ( acanthosis nigricans), metabolic disorders, irregular/heavy/non-stop or non-existent list goes on and on and on. It's awful. How is any woman supposed to be happy with these symptoms?

What woman wants to embrace a beard, hair loss and infertility at the same time? We have to work 3 times harder than the average woman just to achieve a small weight reduction. Many of us don't even feel like women. We feel like prisoners in our own bodies. At the end of the day, PCOS messes with you mentally because it practically contradicts everything you do. It makes everything so much harder.

For me, it will rear its ugly head even when I do everything right. Lifestyle changes has never relieved any of my symptoms. My body always reminds me PCOS is It's Fuckery on another

Interesting cause I have PCOS and started having some crazy depressed thoughts. My anxiety shot through the roof almost overnight in the past few years. So now I understand that it’s all related.

I remember I was 14.5 years old when I first started getting excessive bleeding. I was heartbroken and I cried everyday for 3 months, I was going through a breakup, and cried every hour of the day, first thing in the morning and last thing at night, and that was my daily routine. I started getting this excessive bleeding the third month and left it untreated, this happened around November 2014, and I finally said something to my parents in april then I got my treatment eating healthy, everything was normal.
Now I have messed up periods again because I gained so much weight because of depression but I'm eating healthier, I'm just mad at myself because I was careless and left it until the damage was done

I was diagnosed with PCOS officially a couple weeks ago, though I’ve known I had it for years because it runs in my family and I have all of the symptoms. However, my 7 year old son is also diagnosed with ADHD and I never even thought for a second that it could be linked. I’m actually really emotional feeling like none of this was ever my fault and I didn’t do anything wrong.

I didn't get PCOS until I got a mirena IUD and then had it removed, coincidence? I don't know, now my hair is falling out, I can't lose weight, I grow in thick sideburns, and got acne (I never had it before in my life), and all after my Mom suddenly passed away 😫 I'm only 26.
