EU Part 1 - Democratic Deficit

Is it true that the EU is 'remote, undemocratic and corrupt'?

This video examines why the UK's democratic instincts are fantastic at keeping Britain's leaders in check, but fail completely to rise to the challenge of Europe - a different take on Brexit that you may not have considered.

This talk was supposed to be given at a public meeting in Chichester, West Sussex on the 10th of June, but due to time constraints it had to be left out.

(Sorry about the sound quality, but PPT 2016 has a glitch in the video encoding software, and despite hours of work I couldn't get round it.)

MEP’s can’t propose or amend EU legislation. They are completely toothless

This is the dumbest argument I have seen yet about the understanding of the whole Brexit issue. So because the media didn't cover what goes on in the EU and just concerntrated on the UK that means the EU is undemocratic. NO! It means the UK is not democratic because we are told what goes on by the media and no one is interested in politics that much anyway so dont have a clue about the EU yet know enough to declare its undemocratic and not trustworthy. I despair I really do.
