1. Open the camera on your Android phone.
2. Open the camera settings. Look for an arrow or a gear.
3. Once in the camera settings look for Scan QR Codes. This could be it's own option or is also labeled Google Lens Suggestions.
4. Once you have enabled QR codes scanning on your Android phone go back to the camera and scan the QR codes.
5. Select the pop up to open the QR code.

Instead of going to your Google Photos app, You could have just clicked on the Google Lens icon that is literally on the right side of the MIC on the Google Search Bar in just one click. And the other way of scanning a QR Code is with your phone's camera app. I know these two ways of scanning a QR Code because I literally do it all the time.
