Dropbox backup completely ruined my workflow. It literally took all of the files off my desktop and they now live in Dropbox and not locally. So frustrating

I have tried to download my music folder from Dropbox backup after my PC died and I couldn't do it the message is: "You are trying to compress to many files" so how can I restore my music library?

This video is totally useless. When do you set up backup, when sync, when both. So frustrating.

So Dropbox Backup is the same thing as dropbox - everything is stored on a cloud and can be accessed from all connected devices - just like before.

My mobile number to receive the 8 digit codes has expired, so I don't have it anymore AT ALL to login! How can I get backup codes resent to me?

I was able to *CHANGE MY ENTIRE PASSWORD* without the mobile number or backup codes BUT they won't resend codes to the email address associated with THAT SAME account??? They let me change a password for goodness sake! 🤯 they are ridiculous!

Why does Dropbox become the location for PC folders and replaces the original location with shortcuts? I'm talk about "Documents" "Downloads" "Desktop" etc.

I made the mistake of trying to free up space on my mother's PC, I noticed the dropbox folder was over 20GB, I asked if she ever used it and she said no. So I deleted the folder, I got the message the file size was too big for the recycle bin, did I want to permanently delete it. Thinking it was only a mirror of the original folders I clicked yes, all of a sudden everything was gone from the desktop and just about every other folder...WTF
