'My darling daddy' - Royal Family Attend Funeral of Princess Diana's Father, John Spencer (1992)

On 1 April 1992, Diana, Princess of Wales and Prince Charles, Prince of Wales attended the funeral of Diana's father, John Spencer, 8th Earl Spencer, at the Church of St Mary the Virgin in Great Brington, Northamptonshire. The Princess of Wales was joined by her brother, Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer; her sisters, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes Tuck; and the late John Spencer's second wife, Raine Spencer (née McCorquodale). After the service, ITN's cameras captured the floral tributes and messages of remembrance left by Charles and Diana as well as Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.

Darling Daddy was probably the reason why Diana was so messed up mentally. He gained parental control of his children, but wasn’t a caring parent. Effectively, he made sure his former wife had little access to her children because she left them due to his bullying behaviour.

Diana pushed her stepmother, Rain(?) down the stairs bc Diana was angry with her. And angry with her own bio mother. But when Diana wanted her real mom, the real mom ignored Diana. Well, that didn't turn out good, and Diana went back to Rain (?). Rain ended up being nicer to her than Diana's real mom after all.

Raine remained devoted to her husband all through his illness. She was treated abysmally by the Spencer children. It is a very, very unwholesome family. All of them, including Diana, had longstanding mental health issues.

Darling Daddy was a wife beating bully lest not forget. Children went to live with their mother her own mother and Earl Spencer ganged up on said mother to the judge who handed them back to daddy. Kids messed up forever with him there you have it and he lived many more years than expected thanks to Raine Spencer’s care RS saved Althrop from broke house to rich house. Truth always best.
