I'm also shoing you our outdoor lights and a few more decorations for the holidays. I hope you enjoy the video, Thank you so much as always for watching xx

RECIPES:
Carrots and parsnips: You’ll need - carrots, parsnips, butter, honey
- Cut into your preferred size, I like to half both length ways and the cut into fairly thick batons
- Put in salted boiling water, bring to boil and boil for 6 minutes
- Drain, leave to steam dry for a few minutes
- Lay in a single layer on a baking tray to dry and cool completely
- Put in the freezer for a couple of hours, then take them back out and put them in freezer bags (they will last up to 3 months)
- On the day, no need to defrost, preheat oven to 200, but some butter and a good few plugs of honey onto a large baking tray and pop in the oven for 5 minutes
- Tip the frozen veg in the tray and baste in the honey and butter, season and roast for 30 minutes

Pigs and blankets: You’ll need - Chipolata Sausages and streaky bacon
- Wrap each chipolata in a rasher of bacon
- In a dish, Lay them side by side in a single layer, and for a second layer, place greaseproof paper in between each layer.
- Make sure the container is airtight. The sausages can be frozen for up to 3 months.

Roast potatoes: We use Maris Piper potatoes, plain flour and vegetable oil
- Peel and cut potatoes to desired size
- Place in salted boiling water, boil for 8 minutes
- Drain and toss in the pot or colander to rough up the the sides
- Add flour, shake, season and shake again. Pour over oil or fat and toss to coat
- Place on a tray/trays lined with parchment paper and allow to cool completely before placing in the freezer
- Once frozen, then transfer to freezer bags.
- On the day, heat oven at 180, pop a roasting tray in the oven with enough oil to cover the bottom or your chosen fat
- After 5-10 minutes carefully add your frozen potatoes, covering each one in the boiling oil/fat
- Roast at 180 for 25 mins, then turn the potatoes, and roast at 200 for 40 minutes

Those lights are so pretty!! Funny about the 🍁 . Our state suggests the opposite…leave some leaves on the lawn bc it brings healthy nutrients to the grass over winter! Also helps critters hide when cold and also helps as fertilizer on a dormant garden bed

Love the extending wreath holder idea. I put lights around my egg chairs when they’re out in the summer evenings too. House looks amazing. Happy Christmas to you all🎄

Your meal prep is on my list. Never thought of freezing for Christmas Day. Also doing it your way you don’t have to be rushing around the supermarket to get fresh veg at the last minute. So thank you.
