This is great. Been playing and listening for 60 years. Hotdog and pineapple were illuminating. Hahaha. Lots of us out there who love music and love to learn. Thanks!

It does help! I have an assignment to play 6/8 on acoustic guitar in church, and this is/was strange to me.
Pineapple helps! Thank you very much!

Such an underrated channel. I’ve always had my own little ways of explaining things to people over the years and these are truly top-tier and the bite-size format is the icing on the cake.

The exception being a 6/8 song that's felt in two. Always fun on the ears!

Great rhythm example. I’d love a lesson on how to NOT press down on the fretboard Too much. Thanks so much.

I'll be honest, if anyone can confuse 2/4 and 6/8 music likely isn't for them. 3/4 and 6/8 yes.

It sounded like she said “fruit analogies” at first, so when she said hot dog, I thought, “Hot dog a fruit? What are you from Chicago?” (or Germany) 😉

Just started your channel, and love your appeoach and style. Correction on your statement that 2/4 time has 2 eighth notes to a beat and 6/8 has 3 eighth notes to a beat. This is not quite correct. Both 2/4 and 4/4 time have 2 eighth notes to a beat, the beat being a quarter note (the denominator). 4/4 has 4 quarter note beats to a bar, and 2/4 has 2 quarter note beats to a bar. 6/8 time has 6 eighth note beats to a bar, and you'll count that as 1 2 3 4 5 6, with the emphasis on 1 and 4 typically. So 6/8 fits only one eighth note to a beat. YOU were counting triplets against a beat (one - e - and two - e - and) and so that could be any time signature with a quarter note to a beat, e.g., 2/4 or 4/4. The top number of the time signature is the number of beats in a bar, and the lower number is what the beat is, which is what you're snapping your fingers to.

Thanks for explaining this in simple terms - Hot Dog and Pineapple with the finger snaps...I get it.
