[2024 FIX] - DirectX Setup Could Not Download The File Please Retry Later
This is another common issue with DirectX installation where it fails to install and gives the error message.
DirectX Setup Could Not Download The File Please Retry Later or check the network connection.
You may be downloading DirectX to fix some issues with your online games like Valorant or Fortnite on Windows 10 and 11.

I am sharing the complete list of solutions to fix this DirectX installation problem.

Step 1 - Make sure you are trying to install DirectX with an administrator account.

Step 2 - Disable Firewall & Antivirus

Step 3 - Install .NET framework with command prompt

Step 4 - Repair .NET framework

Step 5 - Flush DNS Cache and Reset Network

i got sucessful install direct x runtime in may pc, but when i click the apps of gta sanandreas and vice city need directx atleast version 9.0

I’m using win xp 32bit
2.4ghz. 4gb ram
Direct x said missing plug and play.
I uncheck functions in direct x menu (dxdiag)
And checked them again. And it worked. For graphics with older game change setting in nvidia control panel. Do not change graphics by right clicking on desktop. I’m assuming that’s for internal graphics. So only do that method if you have no graphics card.
