I prefer Samsung photos, but I don't want to turn in a slow charge phone. Also the charger in the box gives a point to Xiaomi.

The Iphone nightshots look great but if I see the complete picture the Samsung S23 makes a wonderful job desite of not beeing the Ultra. What left me a bit shocked is how bad the microphone of the Iphone works compared to the others if there is wind or movement. (By the way, I watch these videos on Computer with hifi sound equipment and Canton Karat speakers and there is a big difference noticable on that equipment) . So from the aspect of filming to make a video from a vacation or so, I would not use the Iphone. Your question about the portrait mode, yes the Iphone brings the nicest skin color but the background tends to be red/yellow and the sky does not look so natural.

I dont think that iphone nightime photos are clearly better in every occasion. Look for example at 11:17. Iphone picture looks overprocessed, too bright, with too much sharpness and blown out highlights that cant be fixed. Xiaomi has natural colors but not enough clarity. Samsung photo has a red tint that can be fixed after taking the shot. So xiaomi looks the best or samsung after some post processing.

Xiaomi 13 seems good enough and it's cheaper here 🙂 and u won't need to buy charger separately

Use leica vibrant instead leica authentic, because in authentic, it will have vignette, less sharpening, higher contrast, and in lowlight, shot will ber dark. Its a style though.

Vibrant, will give back all the computational photography on what it normally does. Will have better dynamic range, shadow batter controlled, brighter night time.

Can use leica natural filter + leica vivid if you want natural color with advance processing.

I've had all three. Im staying with a Xiaomi 13. Because of those Leica art in the photos. looks like a life with more depth and just beautiful. Just like a Huawei - Leica in the golden years before a USA bann. I dont like a too over exposed and too much sharpness in S23. It s like a in serarch of perfection Sammy ist a little beyond. The pics are more flat than perfect. And almost nobody says but yelowish is stil there. The iphone is good but for me is not enough smart for smartphone for 1000+ Euros.

Would be nice to see how the iPhone and Samsung compare to the Xiaomi 13 Pro, which has a different, one-inch sensor with better dynamic range, night photography, etc.

About the night time video compairson: Look at the red pavement thing. The Xiaomi captures a bit more detail when the camera is moving not as much. But as soon as you move more, the Xiaomi loses all the detail.

From all this I still can't decide which camera is the best, sometimes it's xiaomi, sometimes it's iphone, sometimes it's samsung. They are all good.

Why 5x zoom? That is digital zoom on all devices. Use default zoom lenses

Xiaomi seem to take brighter all the way, I prefer the portrait from xiaomi because it brings a glow and more colour to the hair and gave a glow to you making you look healthier. The Samsung seem to have a bluish tint to the pictures macklin you look like a greyish human, iphone does the same but less compared to samsung the telephoto on the iPhone seems to tint the white blue
