Politics aside, it was a great anthem. Also, military choirs have always been some of if not the best ones to sing the anthem.

When you think about it the USSR was a respected nation from their sacrifices of WWII they had nuclear weapons but knew better than to shoot them at enemies for little to no reason cause the outcome would be pointless. If I could go back in time I would want to visit the mighty USSR and see what it was like first hand and show love to the country who’s people gave soo much to keep hitler from world domination. Communist or not the USSR will always be remembered as a great nation and the Alexandrov’s Red Army Choir will be cherished as the best choir the USSR has ever had period.
