I'm a high school small engine teacher. I bought a Crossfire for personal use and ended up bringing it in to my class to help with building student projects. I also run 3D printers, laser engravers, CNC lathes and mills. What machine and projects I'm working on varies from day to day so it can be hard to remember how setup each machine file every single time. When I want to cut on the Crossfire this is my go-to video. Thank you for making this video it saves me time and stress.

Here's a tip: you can actually set your Z axis to be the vertical axis. Click your user > Preferences > General > Default Modeling Orientation

This is useful if you want to keep the model in the correct orientation. I use this for 3D printing all the time

This! This is the video I’ve been looking for! An actual step by step, how to, from idea to a cut piece of metal held in your hand. So many good videos out there, none as complete as yours, I finally cut my first piece, thank you, seriously, thank you!

The best and simplest step by step of tool path I've seen. Extremely helpful for me. Love the pace that you go at. Not too fast

Well done and so clear -- THANKS so much!
Best short video I have EVER seen relating to link between Fusion360 and actual cutting in real life. Subscribed!

This is incredibly helpful and will pass on to my students as the most straight forward video for explaining what fusion does in relation to a CNC plasma table.

went through the video while doing the same steps on fusion 360. Was very useful. Good to see it end to end.

this is why you are winning.. all hailing the algorithm helps but just putting all or most of the knowledge simply into one example.

Loving the content!! I know it doesn't apply to much to this video, but your mix of humor and comedy balances well with the practical knowledge you provide. It would awesome to see a step by step video on how you do your cad work on multi-layered signs.

😂 At 2:10 That threw me for a loop. I had to open my Fusion 360 and look because I could swear that I always selected TOP. Turns out it's the same XYZ orientation as when yours says FRONT. WTF!?!?!? 😂 Still really liking my LS CF Pro even after a couple of years now. Just got the limit switch kit, haven't installed it yet. MAKE STUFF!!!

Great video, I have a question, what are you using in the video is the Standart Version of Fusion right? With no extensions, thank you for the good content.

Langmuir should just give you some good 2D LayoutSoftware, there is no 3D when working with plate steel. Why muddy the waters? There's no Router attachment for Langmuir. What you really need is some good vectorization software where you just feed the raster (raw) image into it and out comes the Vector file. No stupid overlays or tracing. After it's vectorized you could then scale it up or down.

thank you so much, great video.
I was using LazyCam but because I have Mach3 demo the lazycam would only generate 50 lines of G code and then it would stop (and that was annoying as hell). Using Fusion360 is much better
