This Fusion 360 tutorial series is for absolute beginners. This will be a multi part series that will cover everything you need to know about drawing 2D in Fusion 360. The overall goal of this series is to teach you the beginner how to draw parts in 2D so you can cut parts efficiently on your Langmuir systems Crossfire Pro CNC Plasma Table.
This video series starts off covering the tools used when measuring parts in the real world, tips, how to draw them out on paper and finally work flow through Fusion.
Part 2 will cover introduction to Fusion 360, understanding the tools and drawing your first part.
As this series evolves you will learn how to get around the program and draw efficiently, extrude parts, make tool paths, adjust cut speeds and pierce times, export your tool paths out to G code and finally on to Firecontrol, the software that comes with your Crossfire CNC plasma table. Finally we will cover cutting out your parts.
If you are patient and willing to take the time to learn, you will easily be able to follow along in this series and before you know it you will be drawing in Fusion 360!
Enjoy :)

First and to the ten people that gave a thumbs down 👎 what is your issue.?? To me that is the most disrespectful thing you can do .... if you think you can explain it better .... DO TELL THE CLASS!! The rest of us appreciate Mike sharing info in a way we can understand and showing us what we have all wanted to know. He already went through the growing pains and is showing us the best way he can so we don’t have to struggle like he did. Mike . Thanks for the info. Rock on 🤘 and we are just as excited for the next Class session as we are the next build video. 👍😀

This series is going to be epic. It's one thing to watch tutorials that are "theory" only. It's quite another to actually see the process and the why's and hows of actually creating something.

First one I've watched but I like what I see. At this entry point, you clearly explain the "why" of Fusion 360 and how it applies to the end goal of a project. Thank you for your effort. Fusion 360 for the real world.

Mike, just a suggestion here, if you extrude, then create another sketch and you the point command, then hole command, you can easily edit all the hole sizes at the same time. Say you cut it out and you want all of them a different size, you can edit the hole command and it will change all of the holes at once rather than having to edit each circle in your sketch. It is great that you are teaching this skill! I’m a drafting and design student, we have learned fusion 360, inventor, and autocad.

Mike, this is SO overdue on YouTube! Thank you for "taking one for the team" and making this series. I'm looking forward to every lesson you put out. Maybe you should do it on a secondary channel so it doesn't cause you to take the hit - "MikeFestiva, s Lessons"? Thanks again!

I will really appreciate this series. the biggest reason I haven't bought a plasma table is because I wasn't sure I could navigate the cad. As I age it gets harder to fully comprehend the new ways of doing things. Thank You Mr. Mike, count on my full attention.
