This is worth so much more than the proverbial "two cents", thanks Jay!

If you check the nvidia forums it's the same thing. A bunch of people stating they never even got to see the cards in their local stores on launch day. It's like they were never really there to begin with...

"The guy who showed up first" is only relevant if its actually a guy showing up. In reality, its a ton of bots sending requests the moment it goes lives where the people who actually showed up first get denial of service errors because of so many requests flooding the servers.

"this card goes from 500 dollars to 600, which is disgusting"
only if you knew that now they go for 900 to 1250

As a retail brick and mortar store owner myself, I can confirm that when I purchase any 30 series cards from approved distributors, they are considerably higher (up to $200 over) than MSRP and therefore I have to charge something higher to make money. What I make has historically been less than 10% and most were under 5% markup just to help cover costs of accepting credit cards as payments. It has been a frustrating 5 months. Fortunately, EVGA has been fairly easy to keep getting in my local store. And before anyone asks, I will not ship these cards. I have been selling them locally and will continue to.

Jay found the card to be so underwhelming that he didn't bother releasing the video at the embargo date.

They might as well say:
"RTX 3060"
"coming out of stock soon"

Personally for me, the EVGA RTX 3060 was the perfect card for my situation. I’ve been “gaming” on Intel UHD graphics for 2 years now and finally got fed up and decided to build my first gaming pc... to be met with a shortage of cards. I’m also a broke college kid, so getting the EVGA one for under $400 was perfect. The 1000% increase in performance from Intel UHD is what matters to me, and I’m glad I got this card

I love it when youtubers speak the truth instead of what companies want them to say. Props man

We need to highlight how Newegg sets lower price when the cards are out of stock, then increase the price when they are available. Very shady.

NVIDIA: Here a new....
retail: Product unavailable. OUT OF STOCK.

Watching this video in November 2022, I'm actually feeling pretty good about the 3060 that'll show up on my doorstep later today! I was able to get it for ~$340, and I'm upgrading from a GTX 950, so there's that.

If I get a 3060 I'll finally ask my crush out because if there's more chance of her saying yes than me getting a 3060 at this stage

As always, the only reason these cards are so expensive is because there's ALWAYS someone with more money than sense.

meanwhile here in europe: the 3060 starts at what the *3080* is supposed to...

that's from NVIDIA PARTNERED RETAILERS too!

It’s funny how newegg does not have a ceiling price for scalpers.they should always display the MSRP and the markup that these scalpers have.

With channels such as Gamers Nexus doing the really thorough graphs and stuff, I appreciate having a review like this that is more opinion based.
