Thats why surfers always have curly hair. Salt water and the tendency to say, "sweet" all the time.

tip: Salt water does not make your hair curly, but it can enhance the natural texture of wavy or curly hair, making the curls more pronounced. When hair is exposed to salt water, salt ions interact with the cuticle layer and form microscopic fibers between cells.

Also yall should stop getting mad at me. im just here to search things up to tell u so u dont have to. im not trying to argue.

As a person who has natural curly hair, IMMA TRY IT RN.
Edit: OMG TYSM FOR THE LIKES. I NEVER GOT THIS MUCH. LIKE 10K?!!.
Guys it works. Cuz in summer when I go to the beach, I swim in the sea and my hair is curly after i let it dry. Also, if u guys ask "why u put salt and water, when u already have curly hair🤓☝️"
1. My hair is not that that curly, mines a mix of 2c, 3a and 3b (mostly 3a).
2. It makes it more defined
3. I was curious if it works.
Edit: ok i realized my hair is 2b, 2c and 3a💀

Ok for the people with actual curls in their hair: make sure that ur hair is very moisturized before doing this, too much salt can dry out hair. Also you actually need curly hair to do this.

I mean, I have frizzy hair, but they turn really curly and beautiful after sea water, so maybe that works for hair types similar to mine? Anyway, all hair types are different so there is no such thing as an universal method for anything...

as someone with naturally curly hair, if you have had strait hair your whole life this won’t work. although if you have had curly hair at one point in your life then this will help bring the natural curls back. hope this helped 😁

PLEASE, AVOID FROM DOING THIS. Salt water can really damage the hair, by making your hair pretty dull and tangled. It can also give you split ends and breakage, so that's a nono. If you're doing this still despite my warning, at least put pre-shampoo conditioning treatment or swim product to keep your hair safe. it can damage overtime

Edit: but if it still ends up working for you, go for it ig?

this does work if u have naturally curly hair but don’t do it all the time bc it will dry ur hair out vv easily and bc ppl with natural curls are more prone to dry hair it can be harmful so js don’t do it to often

ok.

This guy puts a sense of rage inside of me that genuinely the English language hasn’t configured a word for.

1-the sugar is not necessary, just water and salt
2- it defines whatever you have, so if you have straight hair at best you get slight soft wavy hair, if you have messy curls it will indeed make them super defined

Salt adds texture sugar moisturizes but instead of sugar I'd recommend honey instead don't use too much or your hair will dry out
