That moon is great place to start. You could select the spot better, I managed to find spot where there is decent spots of Fe, Al, Be and Helium-3 on top of that, all from same outpost.

Transfer containers exist only so that you can pick up resources without leaving your ship. The warehouses and other containers are the actual storage for the respective solid/liquid/gas. I would add those inbetween hooking up the extractors to the container.

Made my first resource gathering outpost on Andraphon also. Have one with Europium, Aluminum, and Beryllium and a second with Iron and Beryllium

It's amazing the size and scope of this game when u have to watch videos just to get basic idea on how game works you know it's a huge game. Cannot wait to see what people do with mods.

You probably need to wire the power from the solar panels to your different base parts. I think they will work without but not as efficiently.
