While viewing through the officers' body camera footage, Lopez learns that rookie officer Erin Cole did not have her body camera function on at all during her shift, with the Wilshire precinct then conducting a manhunt on Erin. Nolan encounters a guilt-ridden Erin by himself after she flees into the Rose Bowl stadium and learns that she was the actual target of the assassination attempt, with Chris being collateral damage. Despite Nolan's successful attempt in calming her down, Erin is fatally shot by Nick Armstrong. During the aftermath and inspired by a recent conversation with Harper, Nolan reviews his body camera footage and deduces that Armstrong was the actual mole working for the Derian family.

So I actually got the benefit of discussing body cameras with police officer yesterday at my job. at the very least where I live if they should attempt to open their side pouches containing their taser and/or gun the body cam immediately turns on and, in the event that they unbuckled the weapon, every officer within 50 ft turns on as well.

That trauma, I am glad it happened, not glad to what Mia and Foster had to endure*. Dawson was in a bad place, and when that incident happened, it basically made Dawson opened his eyes -- he wasn't there to protect both his sisters, he probably felt like a failure. And maybe that made Dawson quit his bad life.

Foster may feel like she needed to do something, but she doesn't. Everything turned out well. They are in a far better place than 5 years ago.
