Rethinking the stages of life | Gregory Skutches | TEDxLehighU

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Combatting the common saying that the college years are the best years of one's life, Dr. Skutches reflects back on how his own life, and more importantly, his own perception of it, has changes over the years.

A native of Pennsylvania, Greg Skutches graduated from Nazareth Area High School (1974) and Moravian College (B.S. in biology) in 1978. He was wrestling coach at Moravian College for eleven years before leaving to work in business for two Fortune 500 corporations. He left business for graduate school in English at Lehigh University in 1993, where he earned an M.A. (1997) and Ph.D. with an emphasis in Composition and Rhetoric (2001). After several years on the faculty at another local institution, he returned to Lehigh in 2006 to launch a Writing Across the Curriculum program, which he continues to direct. Greg is happily married to wife Anne and proud father of sons Connor, Luke, and Gregory.

College helps to grow in a lot of aspects but studying is also something that takes a lot of time and energy and all youcan do is study. You cant do much because you dont have the money you're supposed to make after graduating, it's not all fun and games for everyone
