Line 6 Helix - Amp Models Run Through - All 73 Models #line6 #guitar #line6helix #amp

This is my video running through all 73-amp models of the HELIX, mine is the Helix rack but amp models are the same throughout the range.
I've only had the Helix a few weeks and love the HX edit side of things and the effects and amp models sound great.
Use headphones for the best idea of what they sound like.

Signal chain is small amount of noise gate - amp with cab that's automatically selected by the helix, small amount of reverb and delay and that's it.
Guitars used for the first half was a HSS Fender custom shop strat and for the second part a Customshop Gibson Les Paul.

I mess with these all the time but it's nice to hear someone else play all of them through. For some reason it loses perspective when you are the one playing. This really shows how they sound out of the box. My personal favs from clean to dirty are the Princeton, then Matchless, then Revv. The new 2203 Marshall (released since this video) is fantastic with a Les Paul.

I own a POD HD500X and even that sounds great to me. I'd love to get my hands on the HELIX LT. Just the Amp sounds alone you get from this unit are worth a fraction of its price. Add to this all the effects and effects chain capabilities with a fraction of the stage and storage space needed who in their right mind wouldn't make the investment if they could?? I definitely would!

The Park 75 Bright is an underrated amp model.
You can get excellent clean, crunch, and heavy tones (with a boost) out of it if you know how to dial it in. Comes to life with a good Greenback 4x12 IR.

I understand that people have their preferences, some like real amps and some are happy with emulations like the helix.

I have both, and honestly, whatever helps you make music is all that matters. If you're happy, then the music will flow.

Great video. Thanks for the time and effort put into this. It is very helpful in educating us all about all the amp models, especially when one comes from a part of the world where these amps are just not available.

I have a question. You have a Dynamics block before your amp. Can you provide the details of which effect and the settings so we can get the same setup in place on our side?

That was a great run through! I like that you chose to play riffs/parts that were suited to the particular Amps, and I enjoyed your good guitar playing as well. 😎 It might be nice if you could time stamp the different Amps so they are easier find when someone wants to "reference" a sound.

I have an HX Stomp, and got into the habit of using a separate Block for the Amp, and the Cab, so it was nice to hear all the Amp+Cabs with stock settings throughout. Perhaps you might consider doing something similar with a run through of all the different Cabs, but played through just one or two Amps. I'm not sure if anyone has done that. Thanks. Subscribed
