Hell yeah, it's a good deal .a glider with 60 series detroit. Yes, someone has in framed the engine. Clean it up inside and out .and fix all the little things that's broken. I'm am seeing 2016 389 peterbilts gliders with 4 to 500 hundred thousand miles for a lot more. If it doesn't make dollars, it doesn't make cents .smart buy, I think NEW SUBSCRIBER.

Well, if the AC doesn’t work and the gauges doesn’t work, then it did not pass your DOT inspection

Exactly the 12.7 was the best engine ever made

If you decide to overhaul the engine swap out the bull gears as well it’s just crazy to overhaul a diesel engine and put all the money in it and don’t replace the bull gear it’s cheaper than you think Detroit are the Best

A in-Frame is a smart move with million on it because when they go out they go out without warning ….. The best thing is you got the Detroit 60 Series and it’s just the cheapest engine to work on and parts for it are readily available anywhere in the country, I’m a Detroit girl myself but I can literally tell anyone anything about All diesel engines I’ve been through them over and over again but again a Cheap
in-frame is a smart investment at least you will know exactly what you got besides the mains connecting rods sleeves rings but more likely they are the original ones and and them barrings are probably razor thin but it’s still a Detroit and they are Just The Best in My Eyes I’ve never been let down with them they are really reliable motors

Hopefully this information helps you young man but if you need anything let me know I’m pretty smart well smart enough to build and own my own shop lol 😂 No seriously you need information let me know I’ll look out for you

Nice truck! I’d get a compression test and see if the valves need to be readjusted.

There’s cruise control on the dash next to headlight button.

Hood might be heavy because the spring that assist might be broken. They dont like springs tho they are flat bars. Torsion bars. Behind thr trim under the grill

Hood has 2 steel torque bars for the hood. They probably need replaced. They like to break

Hey man! Don’t be talking bad about Peterbilts!!! Seriously, whatever truck makes you money and is reliable is a good truck. Congrats! I still love my Pete though.

Looks like an old A.L Smith truck out of Versailles Ohio

Turn off that Jake Brake except when on hills, it changes engine timing to help slow the truck on grades. Leaving it on just to hear the sound isn’t good for the engine! 45 years trucking with no accidents here and small fleet owner of 7 trucks . I’m retired now and if you take my advice you will achieve more miles before overhaul. I Like your show! Just passing along some advice to help you out! Take it or leave it. Tough to make it as an owner operator, especially in these resession times. Keep on trucking!

Looks like an old Fitzgerald Glider Kit. Is there anything on the truck that works, except the Jake Brake? The hood probably feels heavy because one of the assist springs are missing or broke. Good luck buddy.
