The Perfect Gin and Tonic

Back in the late 1800s British soldiers would mix gin with their quinine water, which was originally consumed as a medicinal beverage to avoid contracting malaria. Common ratios for the G&T range from 2-4 parts tonic water to 1 part gin.

What is your favourite gin for a G&T?

2 oz for me, but it's all about the tonic and the "dressing". Fevertree Indian Tonic is my fave. For the extras - go to Spain or Portugal. There's a whole culture of adding rosemary, juniper berries, fruits, veggies - all trying to enhance the specific flavor of the gin. (everybody knows Hendricks and cucumber, but there's a lot more)

2 oz of malfy Limone and about 4 oz of fever tree Mediterranean tonic. Served on clear ice of course and a lemon wheel for garnish. 😚👌

I’ve tried many brands of gin and only recently tried the Original British Gin: Gordon’s. It makes the best G&T, in my humble opinion. It’s just Gin…it’s not trying to be fancy. It’s the real deal. 😊

I'd never diluted gin more than 1:2.. loses all the delicate notes after that..

I do 3ozs of gin to a 150ml can of Fevertree, so like 3:5 ratio. Do I have a drinking problem?

It should be 60 ml of good gin with 120 ml of good tonic. This is the basis, the complementary botanicals are extra
