why my meringue melts when i add melted chocolate for flavoring, my chocolate is not hot, but I mixed chocolate in meringue with hand mixer and turns my icing melt

I saw Martha make a pumpkin meringue pie on her show the other night, and she browned the meringue with a propane torch!  I was amazed!  (Only Martha--)

For Martha's method use:

100g Egg Whites
200g Caster Sugar
15g Glucose (Optional, helps to prevent crystallization)
75g Water

Make sure you take the sugar water mixture to 115ºC before turning on the stand mixture and you need to bring the mixture to 118ºC (Soft ball for sugar nerds like me) before adding to the fluffy egg whites.
