I like your accent! ;) Yes, it's hard, but I have learnt the hard way that people want to be right in their minds about how they see you, no matter how much you try to clarify and explain yourself, they esteem their own opinion higher than facts. Eventually the truth finally comes out, often with vindication, and humble pie for judgmental people. Meanwhile, do right by everyone and be your best self, no matter what people say or think.
