This was a similar message to one that God has had me going through over the last few years ... it is tough, but I know God is tougher & He keeps surprising me with how much He never leaves nor forsakes anyone (though I should stop being surprised as it's just His way).

What about these verses? It seems to contradict the message today. Curious how to reconcile this because what about becoming entangled in an abusive relationship?

Make no friendship with a man given to anger, nor go with a wrathful man, lest you learn his ways and entangle yourself in a snare.

Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.
