I am Japanese, and when I first heard this song, I laughed. It is a very hormone song. The lyrics in the middle of the song made me laugh out loud at the Japanese onomatopoeia that describes the blood and flesh splattering into a mess. Of course, coolness is the underlying laughter.

This is my favorite Japanese band they are called Maximum the Hormone. They did the 2nd Death Note opening which you should check out at some point. They are commonly described as the Japanese System of a Down which is an appropriate title but they have influences from multiple other bands such as Tool, RHCP and Pantera. They like to cycle through multiple genres of music within their songs and they do a good job of it. The bassist is a huge Flea fan so their bass work on songs are really well done

The first time I couldn't even understand what I was listening to. Now, after hearing it again and again so much it sounds two-hundred-million times better. :)

I've found enjoyment in analyzing these songs with you. I've never been one to truly sit there and digest what I've heard, picking apart the small details of songs. I've only liked the sounds of some songs and disliked others on a general level. Thanks for these videos, love them.

as an anime only viewer this is my interpretation of this Ending:

1st Part: what the main protagonist had gone through
2nd Part: his transformation
3rd Part: met the one that changed his life
4th Part: how he is currently

I absolutely love the freaking double take everyone has at the halfway point when the song slows down XD Such a freaking 180 yet it somehow fits so well

I love that these OPs and EDs are often "chopped up" to fit the chainsaw theme, this song is no exception with so many drastic shifts in style and tempo change.

Love the breakcore elements in this song. It was a treat to see that this song affects Tony as much as it does the non-musically inclined listener.

As a fan of the original manga I really enjoyed how much the different parts of this song represent the overarcing story of Chainsaw Man, as it goes from chaos to a short devine feeling and ends with a very energetic part and some great lyrics that really describe the 3 main characters of the series.

As someone who read the manga, it definitely feels like the course of the track is reflective of the course of the story. Without getting too specific, it has a lot of tonal shifts that are very sudden. I wouldn't be surprised if they were trying to channel the various different tonal feelings of the story and put it into musical form.

It is definitely a merge of metal, breakcore and jpop and It's masterfully composed I'd say

Maximum the Hormone is absolutely amazing. Fun fact: the drummer is the female vocalist. Watching them play live is stunning.

I think i've seen this video like 10 times. I LOVE the analysis of it, it's perfect, perfect, perfect. Idk how to say it, it helps you understand perfectly and since it's stopped many times it gives you the chance to understand a bit more each time. Thank you so much for all your work, I'm a huge fan of you from years. <3 <3 <3 from Italy

At this point I'm hoping that we'll at least get full version this year.

The ed is a good portrayal of the progression of the show. The story at multiple points simply doesn't care about normal plot progression, so sudden tonal shifts is very much appropriate. It's fantastic.

i honestly love the fact that your reviewing with the actual opening playing on screen. it is nice to see how they animate scenes in correlation to songs like these. But it is even better to see an analysis of the song and animation together for your viewers to see as well. Please keep doing so for every chainsaw man reaction !! that would be gold! ^_^

The band Maximum the Hormone LOVES to transition from hard metal to J-Pop. It's kind of their thing. "Koi No Mega Lover" is an excellent example of them doing this
