Fix isdone.dll Error While installing games In Windows 10 /11

First of all, if you have enough RAM (as any 4+ year system will have) this is never an issue. I have 32GB RAM and I have never used a page file. However, I recently experienced this issue for some odd reason while updating a game semi-old game. It's when a HUGE game file (in my case, 40GB) needs to be unpacked, patched and then re-packed. This usually requires huge amounts of HD space (sometimes 80+ GB), it also takes a fair amount of time to patch. Hence it doesn't matter what size you set your page file to. If you don't have enough HD space, the installer will fail anyway.
The culprit here is your Antivirus software. Why? Because your AV is scanning ALL files being extracted during the update, and it even recognizes the temporary file format being created for the update, and that's what screws everything up. Many game files such as .pak (used by Unreal Engine) are regular zip files. The update installer also have a timeout threshold, and if the files are inaccessible during the update because your AV is scanning everything... Well, you get my point.

The weird thing is that it has never been an issue for me until just recently. Guess i need to re-install Windows (been on my machince since 2016). Disable your AV during the update proccess and all is good. This assuming you trust the source where you got the update from, so it doesn't infect you with any nasty stuff :)

Hoooly shit dude, I can't believe it worked! Not allocating virtual memory, i'd already allocated a shit ton, but emptying the temp folder! Whatever goddamn infection was in there was messing with my installer! Thanks so much you're a lifesaver!

This didn´t work for me. What did it was to turn off firewall (firewall - turn windows defender firewall on / off - turn off both things). Stupid solution, as i tried everything else before... but it worked

Nothing works it is a windows issue i had windows 10 so i installed windows 7 ultimate prob gone forever really i swear tried every single thing nothing works windows 7 is a very good os for games u should try u will not regret
