I am so impressed by you. I just recently left my high paying job to stay home for many reasons.... health, my family, my aging father who lives alone and has cancer.... I made more money than my husband so this will be a real test for us, but my husband has been begging me to do this for some time, saying that my health and the health of our family is most important. I also felt God leaning on me as well. I only wish I had the presence of mind to do it years ago when my children were young.... but even though 2 are already in college, I have 1 in high school and 1 in middle school and not only can they benefit now, with everything going on in the world learning from amazing women like you now will help me as my children get older and grandchildren (God willing) enter the picture. God bless you and thank you for sharing your I know it can be hard to share a God honoring, counter cultural lifestyle (I saw your post on IG about the haters), but please note you are a BLESSING to those of us who are wanting to heed God's call to live more simply and to honor the roles he has given us as wife and mother. Big hugs and prayers for strength.

What i love almost as much as these fantastic videos, is the community of wholesome people these videos attracts. This is one of the few channels where I look forward to reading the comments.

My house is ~90 years old. The root cellar was made close to the house that was here previous. So now it is 100 feet from the back door. I have a room in the basement that is cold in the winter so I can store the winters root vegetables and canned food in there.

I have a 105 year old farmhouse. We are in the process of finishing my mudroom to be a huge pantry. I have built in cabinets in there already. That has a bunch of my canning in them. Then there was a walk in closet that I turned into my pantry. Hubby put up beadboard paneling to cover ugly walls. Painted it white. Put in white wire shelves that are adjustable. And I keep my bought stuff in there. But I need more storage room for my canning. So my hubby is turning an alcove in there in to a closet with floor to ceiling shelves behind 2 old 24 inch doors I got at habitat restore. So they look the age of our home. Put up beadboard wainscoting painting it barn red. Using a cute country fabric for wallpaper above the wainscoting. Beadboard painted white on the ceiling. Cant wait to get it finished. I am still canning. Been canning since july. Dont know how many hundreds I have canned so far. Not going to starve that's for sure. Been canning for 42 years now. I love seeing all those full jars! Been drying a bunch of stuff also. Hubby is going to make one wall in the mudroom shelves for my half gal jars of dry stuff. Only deep enough for 1 jar deep. No more digging. Happy canning all.

My November food storage is going to be focused on Turkeys for the freezer, beans, and flours or berries/corn. I have some of each in 5 gallon buckets for 25 year hide away storage, but want to dry can some and get gamma seal lids for my working pantry. You inspire me so much. Thank you for starting this channel.

My house is 90 years old. I wish we had a basement but we don’t. So I turned the little eating nuke into a walk in pantry... it works and it looks so nice right there in the kitchen. It holds around 1600 jars of food!!

EXCELLENT VIDEO!!! Another way to make sure that you do not get bugs in your storage container, you probably already use for your livestock (especially chickens and ducks) is DE. I use farm grade for my animals and I use it all the time in my house. I use it this way: 1tbsp in gallon containers, 5 tbsp in a 5-gallon bucket, and so on. (just sprinkled in the top are of your container) You should be adding it to the farm animals feed to help them from worms and parasites, etc. I like your system and your storage efforts. Keep up the GREAT WORK that you do!!! GOD Bless.

First time viewer and I appreciate your knowledge about prepping. I am new to prepping and have a sense of urgency as we near the upcoming election. I appreciate your inner beauty and noticed that you don’t conform to the worlds standards of makeup, pompous dress and jewelry. People can learn a lot from you in more ways than one. God bless all that you do for us and your family🙏🏾!

This tour is SO inspiring, but even more helpful for those of us trying to 'get our store in', as they say. Thanks so much!

I never seen heard of blue corn. That would be a fun cornbread. I love that.

I have those same buckets I purchased from Tractor Supply where we live. Love gamma lids. They are so easy!! I used tape too...but I found some chalk labels at Michales and a chalk marker. They fit really nicely above the spot where you would scan the bucket at checkout. Looks nice and organized. Thanks for sharing!

I’m only 5 minutes in and I have to comment. 😋 We also can and dehydrate sooo much on our homestead. I also have dried zucchini powder on my shelf, along with all sorts of other weird powders made from ground, dehydrated veggies. Your “display” of canned goods is great. Unfortunately our kitchen area doesn’t have a wall I could put a shelf against so our canned hordes (hoards?) are tucked all over our closests which leads to a case of “out of sight, out of mind” for me! Our orchard is also young so I can fruits from Azure.

I would love your split pea soup recipe! Please share some videos on your favorite meals from longer term storage foods.

If we get a stimulus I plan to get me a country grain mill....and many varieties of berries and corn from Azure. I presently buy bulk flours, and yes freeze it! I would prefer to grind my own and look forward to it soon🤗.
