We have been slaving away for what feels like years!!! Even though it hasn't been a year yet lol. But we are so close to being ready for a 4-way inspection and it's so exciting!! It's feeling like things are finally coming together!!! We are so excited to be wrapping up the electrical install!!! We can't wait to make it to the next phase of this build!!! Building our own home is a task that is taking so long and though it's rewarding, it's been quite the journey!!!

Frank's agent called and is demanding more screen time for the best dog gone supporting actor in the biz...🐕

Hey guys, I do not know if you have thought of this. But, I would suggest putting all of your outside receptacles on switches. I always do this because people often use them for things like Christmas lights and stuff. By putting them on switches you don't have to worry about timers or going outside in bad weather. It is just very convenient. Everyone I have done this for loves it.

Don't forget that you can install USB port electrical outlets (by your bed, in the kitchen, etc.). I've had them in two apartments and LOVE them. No adapter plug needed.

Great advise. Wish our neighbors would train their yippie dog! Barks when we are in our yard, have our screen door open, gardening, doing dishes, in garage, just living in our home it barks at every noise at all hours. So got a dog whistle and started training him. Seems to be working! Have one of those sonic guns also. Whistle was my Nana’s and works well she used it to call her dogs from the lake to come home.

Trent, sweetie, get a comb to hold the staple, so you don’t keep smashing your thumb. The teeth of the comb will hold the staple in place, and your fingers will neither get hammered, nor get in the way. ❤️

We did granite in our first reno. Needs to be resealed yearly. Did quartz in our second reno. Beautiful selections and no yearly sealing. Just a suggestion. :)

I'm having a great time watching you build the house, but I have to admit that it's the interior building and decorating that I'll be living for.

At 68 and having done electrical and plumbing since 1968 I admire you taking on building your own house. I love the Dogs. They said we love cookies too.

Trent - hopefully it's not too late, but you should install nail plates on every stud where the wire or water/drains runs through the stud. This will prevent you from nailing into the wiring or water/drains after the drywall is hung. Think pictures, or other nails that you might put into walls at a later date. I had one issue where I ran a drywall screw when installing a vanity into my sewer stack. It took me forever to find the leak that was created by this.

4 way inspection on the horizon - yay!!
Love how Frank stood at the top of the stairs waiting for and encouraging for Leeka - so cute!

It would not be a bad idea to include Frank in those "training sessions"; he'll get a refresher course, won't feel left out, and Leeka will see what he does and mimick him.
One word of advice though; never do your commands in the same order all the time. I once did "sit, lie down, rollover" as separate commands but in order. Now the dog thinks "sit" means do all 3 in order, when all I really wanted was "sit."
Btw, just as with children, what works for one child may not work for the other child. Dogs have their own personalities and some are head-strong and stubborn teenagers! Pay close attention to the differences between the 2 dogs.

Allie, in Dutch so familiar with this breed. We learn that puppy's under 6 months should not walk up and down stairs for their hips. Please don't let her run up and down while still so Yong.
She is so cute 😍
Lot's of love from the Netherlands, Daniëlle 😘🙋

Totally enjoy your channel. Doing a fine job with that beautiful pup. Tho up on that scaffold makes me hold my breath and pray HIS protection over you Trent. Wow! Looking forward to seeing finishing touches in the future. Enjoy your week

So admire you both.
Love your self depreciating humor. Every time Trent says he's an idiot, I just laugh. I'm a retired businessman who along with my lovely wife have done several extensive home renovations.
You two rock. No wait, you 3.5. Frank is the best and the new puppy is learning so fast.
