Stop Car battery going Flat/ Dead by installing battery isolator switch disconnect

If you have a car that you don't use very often, and it's left for months at a time. This will usually result in a flat battery. You can prevent this by installing this handy battery disconnection switch. It's really simple to install, it only takes a few minutes. Battery drains can be hard to identify but with the solution you can leave your car for months at a time and it will still start.

I have a parasitic drain on my 98 Wrangler that has to do with the ignition switch fuse. Swapped the fuse and that didn't stop the drain. Change the ignition switch and the actuator pin and did not stop the drain.

This is my next step because I don't do electrical....lol

Usually wires under seats cause battery (drain), or body damage where wires insulation (broken)

I had a customer who installed one of those, at least it looked identical, but he still had a problem. I found the cut-off switch caused a voltage drop at the battery.

Will you have to reset your radio every time you isolate the battery?Or is it because you put it on negative side it’ll be ok?🤷🏻‍♂️

This probably resets the radio though. And maybe even other systems or something in modern cars that heavily rely on electronics.

Bad thing about this item is you can't turn on your alarm. Also installed one and it got real hot not letting this vehicle started. Took it off vehicle started right up. May start a fire people be careful with its use.

Mine doesn't work unless I unscrew it all the way separating the two brass pieces.
