STALKER - Anomaly Mod | Installation & Gameplay HD Video

Another top mod that has been doing the rounds quite recently is the Anomaly mod. In this video, we take a look at the style of gameplay, as well as the obligatory guide and installation walkthrough. Recorded and uploaded at 1440p 60fps.

I see quite a few people asking how many of the parts you need to install. Short answer is all of them.

Long answer: part 1 is the data of the mod, part 2 is the textures, and part 3 is the core of the mod.

x64 basically mean that game support some functions that expand amount of memory that it can use. Normally most of older games are written in x86(or 32bit) code and that limit of memory that app/game can use, and its 3.5GB. So it no matter if you have 16GB RAM, 32bit game cant use it at all.
x64 apps can use more of it, and thats it really useful when game have lots of HD stuff that take lots of space.
Anomaly for example use about 13GB of textures. Its more than some of new games. And it also have HD models that really can lower performances on slower computers.
But trick is that game use some of features that x64 but most of problems lie in rendering engine of game that just dont support some of features that modern hardware use, and some of shaders and apis are broken so no matter how memory Stalker use, it still can crash and lag without a reason...

Hey man did you use only part 1 for install or did you use part 2 as well?

-Anomaly is standalone if you already have any version of Stalker on your pc it will just be teased.
- download ALL the files you see from mod db anomaly there is also a Fix mentioned for update.0.4.so get that too.
-create a folder and name it Anomaly or what ever. this file can be on desktop OR in C:/programfiles/Games <- Optional. just putting it out there.
-Data folder is first. extract the folder to your "named" folder using, 7Zip or WinRaR. (takes few mins to extract)
-Textures folder. Open this folder - a file called " db" is inside. Open the "db folder, now highlight everything and extract it to your named folder. (takes the longest to extract)
-Core folder. Open this folder if there is a file called "db" we will open it. highlight everything in that folder and extract it to your named folder. ( fastest extraction.) joke moment? no? moving on..
-Update folder is next. just extract the update to the file you have named. If this prompted you for any reason, say yes to all.
-update4 fix. Extract files to your named folder. say yes to all when prompted to overwrite.
-Anomaly launcher. this is the application for launching the games direct X version./Resolution of the game. Game settings can be changed not the resolution of the shadow or light used by directX. Should you change the light fidelity or the shadow resolution of the game you will need to restart the game and the launcher. you can play the game now.

I extracted the two compressed folders into an empty directory in proper order, i went to run the game, it just shows the icon that shows up before the game runs and then the screen goes black indefinitely. When I alt tab out of the game and open task manager it says that the game is not responding, a blank inaccessible error message box appears. Some help would be appreciated.

I've installed all he things i need to but when i launch the actual game e logo pops up, then a winnows alert sound plays and i crashes or something idk? do I need o have cop installed op play?

I extracted parts 1, 2, 3 sequentially into a folder on my desktop as guided, but it crashes on know why?

(other mods work fine - Lost Alpha / Misery / ZRP etc etc)

Do you have these weird pillars of vapor and random places on the area around me its like these random pillars of Vapor or something it looks weird kinda looks like a effect that's some anomaly give off but these things reach all the way up into the sky. is there any way to get rid of this effect or I sd it supposed to be like that?. It's always crashes to either when I'm playing the game or trying to hunt you it completely black screen sometimes.

Having an issue, when i click the launcher it gives me an error and says cannot find stalker on my E drive or something like that? I downloaded both parts and extracted them to the folder. I am new to this so im sure i went wrong somewhere?

Following your guide and the mod doesn’t seem to be downloading properly, the download finishes early and when I try to extract it comes up as being corrupt or having an error. Any ideas?

Thanks man I really really appreciate that I've been really dying to play DC dead air I tried to follow the installation but I have a little bit of a learning disability LMAO and reading is not my strong suit so it's a little bit hard for me to comprehend what I'm reading so I'm probably not understanding something very small for it's not working lol

Seems that the file for Anomaly 1.3.1 part 1 is broken it downloads but wont run in 7zip, all other files download and open in 7zip

I came here to see if anyone knows another mirror other than moddb such as mediafire/mega or anywhere where I can find a torrent file. Because moddb it uses the google's downloader, which is painfully slow, it would take multiple days to download the zip folder and I don't even have enough space on my C drive to download it.
