Drewski: "There's nothing down here to loot."

Me, intensely aware of all the potential loot in mutant parts, stash bags and cases:

Just a heads up, those cases you saw that you were like "What are these?" and shot twice before passing up on them, those can be smashed and often contain smaller loot items and ammo. It's much, much faster to use a knife than trying to shoot them most of the time, and at least won't cost ammo to stab. Takes two hits from a knife most of the time but it's generally worth it to give them a poke because free stuff is free stuff and even if you don't need it you can sell it most of the time.

I've been playing this lately as well with a modpack that adds in a bunch of new stuff and includes a magazine system so on top of the ammo pain I _also_ have to make sure I don't run out of mags in a tense situation because it is not easy to repack under duress.

Zone-Bro-Tip: Look in the trunks of the cars, inside the cars, every backpack, corner, behind and inside pipes, break boxes, small and big (the green boxes are not breakable), electric boxes and more. There is a lot more loot to be found.

Because you are right, that game does not hold your hand. You have to look for everything yourself. Exploration is rewarded.

That man did not give a shit. The world is exploding outside and he's just slav-squatting in the middle of the room, looking at you like "Cho, first time?"

The desperate sprint to find a place to hide from emission is like one of the best experience in Stalker.

4:24 the dogs werent walking, they were quietly sneaking through the grass. They were hiding in it, waiting for you to get closer. All Blind Dog packs use this tactic in anomaly, a good cue that youre about to get jumped is that the environmental noises sometimes go away, but otherwise keeping an eye out especially for the white dogs is a good tactic to get used to, as packs of dogs will get larger the further you go into the zone.

If theres a pseudodog in the pack they dont sneak up on you.

Stay vigilant, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and never underestimate blind dogs.

Oh, this first room in the underground complex, with the rotating lamp making that squeaking noise... In fact, this is one of the video game moments that one remembers forever for me, back when I've played the original 'Stalker' for the very first time. Until reaching this point, the game was already sort of intense, but it's _here_ where the game eventually gave you a taste of what's _really_ waiting for you.

Everything half-dark, that nerve-racking noise of that lamp... Sure, them bandits were killed quite fast, I actually felt a little badass, with my sawed-off and just defeating a couple of bandits and all that. But then I've walked deeper into the complex and not only ran into my first bloodsucker, but shortely after that into my first controller as well...

Seriously, the Stalker games, especially the first one, gave me some of the most intense, _really_ scary 'oh crap, I am going to die while mutants eat my soul' moments in almost 35 years of playing computer games.

Groks sound overhaul helps out with footsteps, and soundscape overhaul get rid of all the fake distant noises in the game and instead ties them to the real monsters in the game, also changes how gunshots are heard in the distance

10:33: "cheeky-breeky pal'chik vykin'" old countdown rhyme, last part literally means through away a finger
14:36: go don't linger
14:46: come here stalker for people like you I always have something interesting
19:47: wow ideal translation
46:40: actually there are tons of loot, you can break some of the boxes with your knife
51:45: at that point in Shadow of Chernobyl cgi video enabled with flashback about Strelok, it's just uncut script

I feel like most people watching including myself have never even played it so we have no clue about any of the lore or terms in the game…. But it’s so fun to watch keep up the awesome videos! Super hyped for Stalker 2 now.

46:49 as you're talking about the lack of loot, the boxes on the shelves you walk past can be destroyed for loot sometimes unless the mod has changed that.

I don't know what is scarier:

Cats ambushing you from the grass.

A hostile STALKER sneaking up behind you and firing point-blank.

Or losing an impromtu hide-n-seek game to a Controller.

The sound that rotating light makes in Agroprom is permanently burned into my memory

I started playing this when you did and I'm glad you did because I can't stop playing.

I'm also on the hunt for Strelok, let the best man win.

Drew, fun fact: You can destroy the wooden crates, as well as the little metal cases, and they often drop loot. If you can push them around, they're probably destructible and may yield goodies.

Hey Drewski, I wanted to let you know that you can disable copyrighted music using in-game settings. If you open Settings -> Sounds -> Radio and turn off the option that says "Radios of the Zone", then you will no longer have copyright issues. On another note, I highly recommend the Cinematic VFX mod which enhances the look of gunfire, anomalies, emissions, and more.
Great vid as always!

46:40 you can loot those little boxes by breaking then. Same counts for the bigger wooden boxes
