It's because Optimus prime didn't tell the plan because Sam has a decepticon that is a watch which is stuck to his arm which means if they said anything about a plan decepticon will hear it to it's easy to know guys 😑

Or ... and hear me out ... Wheelie and Brains are good actors. If a Decepticon is nearby and listens (as in a certain watch on Sam's wrist), saying nothing would look extremely suspicious. They couldn't warn Sam (because of the same wrist watch), so what else should they say? Like "come on, Sam, it'll be good, we're prepared", yea, sure.
But even if they didn't know the plan, there's still a better explanation, than this "OP didn't trust former Cons" crap.
Like these two were with Sam the most time, so OP might not have the opportunity to tell them.
It makes less sense for his trust issues, when you consider, that after his own mentor betrays him in this movie, Optimus proceeds to trust a former Decepticon, Drift, in the next movie. So if he already had this trust issue, he wouldn't be trusting Drift, would he? Again something that theoretists dig too much deep into these movies to find out stuff, that even isn't there.
