Ruby was so annoying. She always pissed me off as a kid. Still pisses me off talking about her as an adult. Why did she have to be such a buzz kill? Always ruining Max’s good time. Whoever was the voice of Ruby was a snob.

The real reason that we don't see max and ruby parents until season 6 because the Creator of the show and the books Rosemary Wells believes that kids resolve their issues and conflicts differently when they are on their own
