I'm (Black) Canadian-American. The USA has way more opportunities to be successful regardless of its many short comings.

First question should be asked: "Have you been to the States?"

The biggest difference between Canadians and Americans is that Canadians are more community minded, and Americans are more individualistic.

I was born and raised in Chicago. Lived there for 36 years. I've been in Toronto for 15 years now and I will never go back to live unless I expand the (Canadian) family business. Toronto is a much safer place to live but too damn expensive. Price of housing does not meet the average income and that is a huge problem in the future.

I’m an immigrant to Canada and I would never want to live in the US.

As a dual citizen of both countries, it's very hard to say one is better than the other, however as a black person in the US there is a more representation of black people excellence in the US vs Canada. You have better opportunity to go to HBCUs, and be nurture by people that look like you. Which I find is not available in Canada. Canada isn't blatantly racist as the US however Canada still has it own dirty little secrets. Each country has a special place to me in different ways. Since moving back to Canada, I have learned not to compare them but to see the like I would my siblings, I have love them equally but, individually we each have a different relationship.🇨🇦❤️🇺🇸

As a Black Jamaican in US there are lots of opportunities but you have to seek them out. The violence here is unreal though so I know Canada has its appeal.

I think Canada is much better than the USA. Politically Canadian system is good. In America just talk but no action.

The video turned out to be more about people’s preferences between Canadian and American culture or lifestyle rather than what the Canadians think about American people (the way they are )as I expected it to be.

A friend of mine in Wales🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 actually said it best that, in regards to military might and overall mentality, it could be said that the U.S.🇺🇸 is the son closest to the father🇬🇧. Canada🇨🇦 is the well-behaved first born but Uncle Sam is the rebellious son more like the father in his prime (which the father hates to admit😂).

Just to be clear Canadian Health Care is not FREE it is PAID for by US Canadian Tax Payers. Which is a great reflection of where some of our tax dollars go to and YES. We should be very Proud as taxpayers that our Health care is Good.

Canadian exceptionalism is strong here lol.

As someone who has lived in both countries, both have their benefits and drawbacks. Lower CoL, more opportunities to be successful, lower taxes, willing to take more risks and innovation there is crazy. Citizens are also much more resilient and will protest if they don’t like something. In Canada we complain and do nothing about it (except Quebec, shout-out to them).

We barely innovate in Canada, we buy everything from people and our economy is 4 sectors (RE, natural resources, tourism and fin tech). Also the protectionism in business that leads to monopolies ends up screwing citizens over (telecom being a big example).

Canada has better social benefits but you’ll pay for it via taxes. Generally more safer, you don’t have to deal with 2nd amendment crazies. Harder to get ahead, so a lot of people use real estate as a financial lever to pull themselves up, hence the housing prices and every one believing that housing only goes up.
